Just noticed a loose Black Knight sold in December for $1800!

Whoa, it's the same one from before, the seller was the same guy who bought it for $63.20! No way two different guys would have the exact same feedback score of 15428!

28.5 times your money, not bad!

(I've done better... 780 times on a pack of razor refills, for instance...)

That was a BIN with Best Offer... It actually sold for $1000... Still, nice return on the investment though! Cool

I love that if you search for Entex Black Knight right now there's a loose one with a BIN of $2800

Then under that a _real_ Black Knight pinball with a BIN of $2100..

Think I'll take the real one...

I wondered, it showed as Best Offer Accepted in the search results but said Sold For $1800 on the item page... curious how it is you're privy to the actual sold price?

I have a thread on Pinside.com about the boxed one last year selling for more than most actual pinball machines. The people there are incredulous. I should make a joke about handheld collectors having extra money to spend that they saved not having chiropractor bills!

I'd put the actual value of a mint boxed at 950-1200... That's the price range it would likely get multiple times if a few of them came up for auction.

So you're saying I should have auctioned mine off back when it was the only one known to exist. Oh well, it was worth more to me! I just hope no one runs across a sealed case of them!

I think this is a variation on the Vanity Fair "Starburst" pinball game -- had never seen it before.

Oh wow, yeah, that is definitely the Starburst pinball. I've never seen the Starburst version of it (although I had an Ebay search looking for over 10 years), but at least this proves they MADE the thing! My guess is this is an international version, or this may be how they finally released it, thus my 'Starburst' search never finding anything. I only ever knew about the Starburst one from the Toy Fair catalog...

It's a sort of projector, projecting the 'ball' onto the playfield.

Heh, if I was still collecting I'd be all over this! Smile Nice to see if for real finally!

I feel like there ought to be a "longevity award" for anyone sticking to the same price, same lot, and same listing for over 5 years. Smile

Hey now, he updated the price back in 2015. Mr. Green

(Probably raising it...)

Howdy all. I'll also post this separately on the "for sale" section as these are "neat items on eBay" but are technically coming soon! Very Happy In the afternoon of August 29, I'll be listing on eBay all of the ones you see here:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BCxnLqrR0uJTdpmnj7T-F9jyfYFbRXOj

eBay username is: jasontgarrett1

I've included in that folder the pics as well as a PDF of the full list of games. I'll also post the list as text only further below.

Lots of uncommon items -- Defender Strikes, Caries En Danger (Dig N Picman), Hyper Olympic Challenge 5, Wanted G Man / Operation Z, Digit Com Fighter, Jet Fighters, Pack'n'Maze, Galaxy Twinvader, Spiders, Lucky Pucky, Burgertime, Pengo, Flight Time, Cosmic Scramble (Raid Cosmique), Race N Chase, Destroyer...

All 45 auctions will be regular auctions – no reserve, no buy-it-now, no make an offer, no ridiculous starting prices. What’s better than telling other collector pals that you nabbed a Caries En Danger? Telling them you got it for a steal!

I did stagger the start times so that if the same buyer were interested in multiple, s/he would know whether they had won prior to other auctions ending.

If the text-only list below ends up looking like hot garbage, just know that an "X" at far right indicates that the game is boxed.

Hello, all. Quick follow-up: I got all of the eBay listings created over the weekend, so the auctions will start today (Aug 26) in the afternoon and with start times staggered over a few hours. The auctions will run for 7 days and end on the Labor Day holiday (Sept 2). All auctions are regular auctions with no reserve, no buy-it-now, and no make-an-offer -- so moving up the start date will not cause anyone to miss out on anything they had their hearts set on.

Thanks to any and all who participated in the auctions! Of the 45 or so listed, sold all but 1. Also got to (virtually) meet and chat with some great fellow collectors, which is always fun!

At one point my collection was up to about 300; over the years I’ve sold it down to a more manageable (for me) 40 or so remaining.

And now I feel that there should be a moment of silence for the world's longest running eBay listing finally ending a few months ago.

Smile I do not.

When they're mine, I feel that even 7-day auctions are long. I can't imagine almost 7 years.

At 6 years come January 2021, I guess that makes this the new record holder for longevity for handhelds:

Oh yeah, I've had that book marked for years...
And that is where it will stay unless they decide they really want to sell it and list it in a normal, no reserve auction starting at 9.99. Cool
