That's a fantastic YouTube video! I will definitely need to get a few of your favorites and try them out.
I like how you transitioned from your review into the gameplay. Very well put together.
I'd love to see more videos in the future! |

Great reviews indeed Blanka! Keep doing more!
Now that being said ...
I love your list, i also see Q-Bert and Astro Thunder up there, never had a chance to try burger time, so i can't comment on that one.
3 different ones from your list:
- Epoch Galaxy II, gameplay is awesome, different levels and a Moon Cresta style docking procedure. Love it!
- Mattel Star Hawk, very cool and challenging for the time, you had to deal with altitude in that game, and manage your fuel (or time) and land before you're empty.
- Bandaļ Hyper Olympic Challenge 5, basically a Track'n'Field game, without the hammer throw, intense and fun game !
So that's my top 5 , in any order !

Great video, especially on the game play! I've always wanted to film really nice, clear gameplay of these since most of the time videos don't look that good. Requires properly setting up the camera, etc. Glad to see someone making that effort!
To hold you over until you get the real game, a lot of these are emulated in MAME... So you can get an idea of gameplay and such...
Never the same as the real thing, but better than nothing! |

I really like it.. One thing you do that is rarely seen is have gameplay commentary on the handheld's gameplay. Also your recordings of the playfield is great.. how did you do that? Anyway.. very nice. Please make more. |

The games were recorded without case. On some that was really hard, like Burger Time, cause the keys get loose after opening. I also recreated the overlays that are printed on the case and that are needed to understand the gameplay (Amidar grid and Crazy Kong ladders). _________________ Making the book on handheld games: www.2kboffun.com |

Great video, thanks.
I would've liked it better if it was a top ten, though.
I love very much Super Cobra (Entex), Fights of the Titan (Epoch) and Ms. PacMan (Coleco), in addition to those you chose.
*Edit:
Even Frogger (Coleco)... but indeed all of Coleco tabletops are great. _________________ ** My Collection ** |
