This is such a neat game. The artwork on the box is spectacular. I love that Entex has speed dials, to choose a difficulty speed that's suitable for you and as you progress.

You've landed on a new planet for research and discovery. Upon exploration, you realize the planet is infested with killer spiders. You have a photon gun and a mission. Wipe out the spiders as they have an arsenal of weapons and taste for human. They will attack with a homing web that comes quickly for you. A super web spreads in all directions as it comes for you. The spiders themselves move in different directions at you. There are spider eggs and cacoons that need to be wiped out... Can you take down the spiders, collect data, and make it back to your ship alive?

This has a lot of similar elements to the arcade version by Sigma. It's a unique and awesome way to spend a Saturday over a beer. Give it a go Smile

If you pick one of these up, I highly suggest opening it up and cleaning the contacts for both the stick and fire button.
It makes a significant difference in smooth gameplay. To get into it, pry back the metal Spiders marquee at the top to take it off completely. It's pretty durable, so don't worry too much. After you get it off there are two screws. Then 2 in the battery compartment. Lift the black casing a little bit, you'll find 4 more screws on the corners of the white casing. You can now lift both of them out of the unit a bit to get to the underside of the board. Unscrew about 6 screws there and you will be able to pop off the fire button and joystick casing to clean the contacts. You should also clean the black part of the rubber that touches the contacts. All with isopropyl alcohol. Put it back together and game on smoothly!
