Yes i know this is not a handheld game. But it is great to see that some of you have this console pictured in your collections. What a fantastic machine this was, and still is. I have one myself and could never part with it. A major breakthrough in combining T.V. & Console. The Vectrex deserves a mention in the memories section. Very Happy

Yeah, I have a couple myself... Smile There's even a link on the Museum main page to my little Vectrex page...

I still have to make an effort at getting the color prototype working again... I was so bummed when that broke...

You're right it was and still is a great game. it's quite special to see that some devellopers are still programing games for it ! I also have one of those, had it in the beggining, passed hours and hours on it.

I just received last week a new game for it called "i cyborg" awesome game ! Very Happy

For those interested in new projects on the vectrex, this page keeps pretty up to date, you have a link section for the new games or joysticks, ligthpens etc... being develloped.

I bought some pretty cool new games !

Many of the Vectrex homebrews are fantastic. I recommend Gravitrex and Vecmania. The system is really fun. It's one of my favorite consoles.

Yeah, Protector is incredible... I have the release with the overlay and everything, it's very impressive for a homebrew... Can you still buy cartridges with this game? I wasn't sure if he was going to continue selling a cart-only version (I know the boxed w/ overlay version was limited to 100 or something...).

www.vectrexnews.com seems to be the 'official' info site. Well updated and lots of pics/info/video clips on every game made to date. Even Chris (the guy that runs www.vectrex.com) would recommend it! Mr. Green

Yeah it is still sold, but it ain't the nice version you have... lucky man Wink , but it comes with his version of space invaders (pretty perfect if you ask me), someone else burns the eprom and builds the cartridge. That guy is building a lot of games from a lot of different devellopers.

Rick i just looked at your vectrex section, the display you got is simply awesome ! I'd kill for a thing like that, well maybe not... but you know...

Just wanted to tell you that here in glorious Canada Laughing we had the same cartridges than you guys, same boxes and everything, except one. The Web Wars game was also called Web Warp like in Europe ! Go figure why ! All the other ones are the same.

I went to my local bookmans today and I went to the video games section and I looked up on a shelf and there it was a vectrex!, a little beat but works great for it was only 45$ and is a great machine, wish there were some seprate games because I like minestorm but I would like to get some more games. It was great deal because in this condiction it would have been at least 90$ or more. A great find!
