Do you mean in the sense of durability of the physical game itself? I'd have to say almost any of the VFD games fall under best-made... Except for joysticks breaking off, these things seem to be lasting 20+ years with no problem... It's hard to say if there's any one that's better than the others...

Electro-mechanicals would have to be worst-made just because they have lots of little moving parts that break all the time. Tomy Blip for example. I've probably had a dozen or so of these with broken parts that I never got to work again... Like the best-made, it's hard to say if any one of the mechanical games is any more breakable than another...

And, for the price collectors pay for it these days, the Entex Adventure Vision is a very flimsy piece of hard ware... I'm convinced part of the reason these are so hard to find is that careless kids dropped them once, and that probably would destroy it! (And it would get tossed in the trash by parents.) Neat system and everything, but it's one to be careful with... Cool

That's my first impression... I'll probably think of a better answer in an hour... Mr. Green

yeah I mean in durability and yes the adventurevision is cool but very fragile same with the microvision screen being so low quality. The best made like you said are the table tops such as the coleco ones which I really want! Shocked

Do you mean game series or just a single game?

I think a lot of the Entex games are very well made, especially Defender, Pacman 2 and Turtles. They have a nice, solid feel, with very good controls. People actually come over and ask to play them.

As for cheap, probably some of the early Tiger LCD games. I had a couple as a kid and they always broke.

Yeah, I'd be careful with ANY LCD game made before 1982 or so... (The early Tigers, Microvision, some of the Vtech tabletops). LCDs just weren't very good back then, so it's not really a fault of the game maker. They tend to get 'LCD rot' frequently (which I think is caused by being stored in hot/humid locations like attics or basements...)

Yeah, tell me about it. I just ordered a Epoch Man that showed up with lots of LCD rot Sad

I really want one. I used to own one as a kid and I played that thing to death.
