I was thinking in work today that of 144 Forum members I can only recall 2 being female. Was playing the with electronic handheld games almost always done by males (Did your sister/s play with them?) or is it just that we are the main ones who are interested in collecting them?

Neil.

We experience the very same on my site. Not too many young girls had interest in boys toys but there were always the exceptions. I dont recall ever seeing any of the girls in school playing with handhelds. Not even any of my friends sisters. When it comes to female action figures, companies produced them in small quantites simply because there wasnt alot of demand for them from young girls. Because of that, Mego figures like Supergirl , Wonderwoman, Batgirl, Invisiblegirl and Catwoman command big dollars on the secondary market. It's the old supply and demand scenerio. I had all of my Mego boxed Worlds Greatest Superhero encased in acrlyic cases. The Super Gals just scream the 70's!
Love the box art as well.
