Watching the latest episode of My Name Is Earl, season 2 episode 18 "Guess Who's Coming Out of Joy", Earl & Randy have to go back home and Randy finds his Merlin game from when he was a kid, saying "Merlin... we meet again. I been practising my tic-tac-toe for just this day my friend."
Then proceeds to start playing it.

I saw that too! Thanks for the terrific screen caps! I'm sure Rik will be adding those to the museum.

Might be time to dust off the old Merlins for eBay! This kind of exposure is potentially huge...

Cool find... Now I have to update my website... Rolling Eyes

Did they get the sound effects right? (Assuming you could hear the game being played, that is...)

My TiVo already removed it from the Recently Deleted folder so I can't be sure, but I seem to remember noticing them using the correct beeps.

Heh, pretty funny. I tried to find it on youtube, but only came up with this ad for Merlin:

Ooops, here's another ad. This one makes no damn sense.

I don't know what a Merlin is supposed to sound like but if you know then watch the clip:

Yeah, them's the right beeps!

I also thought it was nice of Earl's mom to keep fresh batteries in the Merlin, seeing as how it's so prone to making old batteries leak and turning the contacts green! Wink

Dan, you say thay Merlin would get good exposure. Is My Name Is Earl popular in the USA? I haven't heard of it before.

Great about the gerbils. I had gerbils too, as well as the Merlin. Anybody else?
