Oh, trust me... It's probably a good thing that you can't!
Sometimes I dread being able to just bid on anything I see... I don't even want to think about how much money I'd have if it wasn't for Ebay. |

Here we go, this will be good to watch:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250143732692
This is only the 2nd Tiger Jawbreaker handheld I've ever seen forsale (and it's new-in-box!).
I've already contacted the seller and asked him not to sell off-Ebay, so we'll see if he can resist... Maybe he's savvy to the way of Ebay already, not sure (I don't recognize the bidder ID off hand...)
He has several other nice boxed Vtech games as well... I'm going for the Chicky Woggy myself ...

Hmm, tough to say... I've seen all of them except Jawbreaker recently on Ebay in boxed condition... But these are the nicest looking ones I've seen, so that's going to help... The Tri-screens will probably hit $150ish, maybe a little more for Deep Diver (harder to find).
Jawbreaker is tough to judge since I've only ever seen one sell, and at the time no one really knew it existed (that I know of), so I think it was missed by a lot of collectors (based on the amount of people that begged me to sell to them shortly after I bought it... )
But based on past prices of other Tiger games, $500 wouldn't surprise me at all, and I'd have to say $300 minimum at least... It's already at $90 and I haven't see Rezza bidding on it yet.

I promise I won't:
A) once you declare your interest, I know my budget doesn't stand a chance
and
2) not even interested, anyway!
So I'm rooting for you! |

Yeah, I wasn't sure if there'd be any interest in it anyway, but it is certainly a game that you don't see very often. I've had Ebay searching the Italian Ebay for it since 2004 and it's never come up...
I've just been a Heathcliff fan for years (been reading it ever since I can remember reading comics in the newspaper...), so that's why I'm really interested in it.

Heh, I talk so smart, but I am certain I wasn't one of the other collectors you were worried about!
And I completely glossed over that it was Heathcliff - Now I want it! (Just kidding!) |

How do you do a search for a particular country Rik? I can only seem to do one for the EU or 'Worldwide' which never seems to be worldwide .

You actually go to that country's ebay link and do the search there. Like for the Italy one, I actually logged into www.ebay.it, did the search for the Isidoro game and saved it. All the buttons are usually in the same places, so you can figure it out even if you don't speak the language. If you aren't sure of the actual link for a specific country, just go to www.ebay.com and look at the very bottom, all the countries are listed there. You can log into most (probably all) of them with whatever Ebay ID you already have.
Another good idea is to do a search for 'Game Watch' (since that always seems to work in any country) and figure what terms they use to indicate 'Game', and what categories the games usually show up in.
Like, in German 'Spiel' is 'Game' and they use the term '80er' to indicate it was made in the 80's, and OVP means it's still boxed. Handhelds show up in this category a lot:
http://games.listings.ebay.de/.....ngItemList
Which is the PC&VideoGame/Console/Other category. But I'm sure there are other places they show up.
It's obviously a lot harder to find every location when you don't speak the language, but you can definitely get a lot of hits by just poking around blindly they right way and looking at the little gallery pictures when they are there. (Make sure gallery view is turned on so you see little pictures next to each auction (that has them) on the search lists. I think you can turn this feature off...)

Rik says this is "incredibly rare" so I thought I'd better bring it to peoples attention.

Hi,
Read this, he don't want to sell the game before the auction is ended.
Your email worked RIK
http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAP.....ink:top:nl
Amazing about all those V-Tech games NIB, he had luck to find those. |
