Now thisis one system that holds a special place in my heart. Lots of good times were had playing this. At the time, I thought that I knew just about every game released but as I've been trolling ebay I have been seeing many that I've never heard of. Would anyone happen to have a 2600 console that they are looking to sell? I would like to start recollecting these. Let me know if you do.

Besides here, I also hang out on www.AtariAge.com, on their Auction Central forum. They also have a nice rarity list for all the Atari systems. You may want to check it out!

I also collect 2600, I have, I dunno, 350 games maybe? At least that collection (loose carts) doesn't take up much space!

I have extra consoles, but they are all buried at present! Embarassed Rolling Eyes

I too have a thing for Atari. Here is my 2600 collection as seen over on atariage.com:

I have several VCS consoles but not an extra one, per se. I would think you should be able to one reasonably priced on ebay. It seems like the prices keep coming down on the consoles and unboxed games.

I'm also a regular over at Atariage. I have upwards of 500 carts at this point (not counting all of the other Atari consoles). I have quite a few duplicate games in addition to my collection, and I *may* have an original, 'heavy sixer' for sale soon (the original model).

The nice thing about the 2600 is the extremely active homebrew scene. There are more NEW games being sold at Atariage right now than Atari itself made back in the day! It's really a great system to collect for.
