I'm surprised it took 2 days for someone to post something like this! Mr. Green

Great update Rik! I may be a bit biased this time as there at least 6 of my games in this update Very Happy

I have a couple of points though....

In the Sicom 16 and Cylon 16 pages there is an extra 'a' in ' (liasted as 'for kids') '

You have moved the three Bestech games to the Grip Lend page which is great (I'm going to have to send you a better picture of the Marine game and box!). You've also now listed the 6 previously 'unknown' games as being made by BTG.

I've been having a close look at my 'Unknown/BTG games and my Grip Lend games and the resemblence must be far more than coincidence.

The cases are pretty much identical except that the BTG/Unknown games have a mechanical timer fitted. This would suggest that they have a Very strong connection to Grip Lend.

The label on their boxes states that they are manufactured by :-

and as you stated that

" 'Bestech' is apparently a series of games released by Grip Lend. I'm guessing they combined the works 'best technology' "

and that their boxes and instruction leaflets have the bold 'BESTECH GAME' followed by the actual name of the game :-

I therefore believe that 'a BTG product' is an abreviation for 'a BesTech Game product' so all the now BTG games should be listed under Grip Lend instead.

Sorry if this explanation is a bit long winded but I wanted to put over my points clearly.

What do you think?

Neil.

Still looking for the darn stickers! Rolling Eyes I know there's a CD somewhere...

Dan- Special update just for you! Cool
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Entex/BlackKnight.htm

Neil- Interesting points... The similarities do seem like more than a coincidence, but there's still the chance that the games (or perhaps the molds they are made from) were licensed to another company that just happened to be called BTG... I'll leave them seperate for now, but I put a comment on all of the BTG games about the similarities with the Grip Lend games.

I switched out the Marine pics for Taki's, but feel free to send me better ones (game out of the plastic bag maybe?)

BTG might have also been a foreign distributer/licensor of Grip Lend games for a certain country...

Rik
