That's the same seller... He must have thought the King Kong game was worth something and listed it separately...

Has anyone been in touch with the buyer or seller at all?

you're right! Didn't see that... Must be getting old : )

I had a bid going on the lot, but it was cancelled.
Haven't contacted the seller though.

Might as well mention it here, I'm sure you all have seen it already... Cool

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA.....0273336612

Tiger Jawbreaker tabletop, with box. Not the greatest condition, and sounds like it might not be working, but it's still worth having in my opinion... I'd happily cannibalize a Smurf game to make this one work.

(Seller has already been advised to ignore 'end-it-early' offers, and I've also advised him about it's rarity and potential worth... I don't think he had any idea...)

Well well, it seems as the fincris has zero effect on some of us here...
$1000 for just a (c-6) box makes no sense for me!

I agree if we could just get the backup bidders to lower their bids then I could win these at a much more reasonable price. Laughing I'm actually delighted Yessss! with the price. I thought would have to curve spending after this one, but it worked out well.

This boxed game is in my top five want list. I hoped no one was willing to pay what I was willing to pay for a boxed version. I think this is the only known boxed version and will go well with my other Tiger Tabletops. Yessss! If I didn't already have several of these it probably would not be as valuable to me, but it would be great to complete the boxed set.

Life is Good. Or it will be when I receive this game.

Very well done for completing your boxed set Linda Smile . Maybe you could add a pic or two of them all in the Brag section when you get the box. I never realised that this box is so rare. I'm quite tempted to sell mine seeing the price it fetched Razz .

Talking of that box, it has just been described as a 'c-6' . I have often seen games and boxes and even instructions graded as c-1.5, c-2.3 etc but other than working out that the lower the number the better condition something will be in, I have no idea what each grade actually means.

Is a 'c-1' new mint condition? How low does the scale go down to? c-10? Would a box with an inch long tare get the same grade as a box with an inch long pen mark? Is there a description chart I can download that I can use when I buy or sell my games or is it just for professional sellers/shops?

I'd be most interested if anybody knows the answers.

Thanks, Neil.

Let me clarify... I don't have a completed box set! I said:

I WISH I did have this set complete. It's my top priority. The pictures of my boxed tiger tabletops are in the brag section. They are in one of the curios.

You have a boxed Jawbreaker tabletop? I wish had known. I would have bid less on this one or made an offer for yours.

Next time a extremely rare game comes up, I'll have to ask if anyone has one for sell. Wait, I'm actually glad I didn't know, I probably would have made you what I call an "insane offer you couldn't refuse."

That being said if anyone has a boxed space invaders Tiger tabletop or Star castle tiger tabletop they are willing to part with for an insane offer contact me.
Very Happy

Linda

Sorry Linda. I miss-interpreted what you said. I'm sure you'll get the full boxed set oneday though Smile

I was just winding you up about the boxed Jawbreaker, hence the ' Razz '

I don't have any of that style of game except for a rediculously cheap V-tech Chicky Woggy Tini-Arcade that I just couldn't resist and haven't got round to re-selling yet.

Neil.

Yeah, C-10 would be complete mint, not even a ding or scratch on the box. Like you plucked it off the factory floor. (Almost impossible to find...)

C-9 to 9.9 is usually as mint as a box will be after being in a store, purchased and then never touched.

C8 - 8.9 is similar, but with some minor damage (maybe a slightly dinged corner, scuff or other small dent). Has obviously been opened, but no real damage

I would say C5- C7.9 covers lots of open/closing rear, and any rip less than an inch long.

Lower than that covers large rips, missing flaps, boxes that have been sat on, etc... Smile

The Jawbreaker box is in pretty weak condition, but as it's pretty much the only one ever seen so far, it's definitely worth some money. The only risk is when 2, 3, or 4 more of these show up boxed, it won't be worth nearly that much... That is, _IF_ anymore show up...

Space Invaders remains the only tabletop proved to exist that I haven't seen a box for... Anyone here have one? (And then there's Star Castle, but it's never been seen at all yet...)

Nice score Linda! It'll be cool to see an updated picture of the 'Tiger Tabletop' collection! (And you are just damn lucky I'm spending all my money on movie props these days... Mr. Green Mr. Green )

If some of these Europeans only knew what they were missing by only shipping to their own (relatively small) country...

I don't have the spare time any more to search the UK only listings on the off chance I can talk someone into shipping to the US after all. (And they are the ones who speak English, I don't remember the last time I tried the Babelfish routine with a Frenchman!)
