Well, apparently the seller showed pictures of the game to a couple of people, and they seemed to think it looked good... I never saw them myself since I knew how much one of them was going to bid, and I wasn't motivated to spend that much. Cool

Didn't think Linda would stomp us both, but there's just no out-bidding that woman! Mr. Green Mr. Green

Here's hoping she has good luck with it...

I wish her luck with it as well, if it does work she should have it sealed in an argon-filled glass case or something!

(I wasn't bidding either, I'm quite happy with my $3 boxed thrift store find...)

Just thought I might get it cheap... with market conditions being what they are, yadda yadda yadda. Not so cheap though. I think 5-10% of the things I win, I didn't REALLY mean to.

Speaking of not so cheap...

I thought the Pacman price was a fluke.

Then the Lucky Luke was shocking.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270303697754

I have both boxed, but put in minimal bids. I was hoping to get them cheap. Use for spare parts and such.

I wonder if this a trend for these?

Guess it's true for some things... I never thought this Spitball Sparky would go so cheap, I would have put in a snipe if I'd have known!

Dang! That must be why the more recent one didn't go much higher.

Might have to start paying more attention to the interesting G&Ws!

Anybody knows who is mamascellar?...a month ago all ebay articles were deleted by ebay. In October he put on sale a lot of interesting articles:

* Mr. Do 18029818134
* ANOTHER Monster Burger 180298187621
* Pocketsize Donkey Kong Game & Watch Nintendo handheld 180298703978
* Toss-Up Nintendo Time Out Nintendo handheld video game 180298728432

and others very interesting articles...
...all the articles were "SOLD" , but no trace about posive votes...he puts the same article description...Mmmm

Now, he has on sale a lot of very good products, but I donīt believe what he sell. Anybody knows more about?

hi mobutu!

i know mamascellar! she had some problems with ebay, and they closed her account. but it wasn't her fault, she listed to much items for a new user or something like that!

i won an auction for a coleco donkey kong batterycover a few days before her account was closed. and 6 days later the batterycover was at my place! so everything's fine with mamascellar!

i think rik won some auctions from her too, and as afaik evereything went fine there too. is that right rik?

regards

She put an explanation clause at her each auction when I last saw it a few weeks ago.
A new member may not list many item in electoronic games category or something like that was the 'huge' problem.

Yeah, I had won a couple of things from her originally when eBay pulled the auctions... I paid for them and got them though, and she seemed really confused by eBay canceling her auctions. eBay just being stupid...

But, damn, there's some nice stuff up for sale...

Elevator Action, never ever heard or seen one before. It is a good game?

Personally, I'd be very skeptical of it... I've never seen it before, and I've never seen it on any collector's want list (and the seller states it's the 'holy grail' of all handheld LCD games or something... Where does that come from?). Does the packaging look like vintage Epoch packaging? It doesn't to me, but I haven't necessarily seen all of it...

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a recent release (in the last 5 years or so), and he's either trying to make it sound like it's a vintage game, or he honestly thinks it's a vintage game. Elevator Action (the arcade game) came out in 1983, so of course the copyright on the box/game will say that. How many handheld games came out the same year as the arcade game?

He's also selling this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310112758899

and stating it's a vintage 1980's game. I know this isn't true, these games came out in 2000 or 2001 or so, and cost about $10, and are still available in stores.

Rik

Edit: Found them. It's a series of little LCD games called 'El-Spirits'

http://epoch.jp/gt/el-spirits/pre/retro_in.html

The Elevator Action one came out last year in Japan. And according to this review:
http://blogs.ign.com/CrankysArcade/2007/08/10/62940/
is horrible and unplayable. Rolling Eyes

That might have sold for $150-200 at least if he sold it normally... I'd have bid that much for sure. Boxed ones are hard to find for any game of this Walkie series.
