Nice for the winner, but the Jawbreaker doesn't work. And a lot of other games have problems. Still the box is very nice and the booklet.

Most of these games have problems or are missing battery covers.

Rik, can you tell me why this game ended so high?
Perhaps a rare item for people who collect inspector gadget?

Or a rare Tiger game?

Yeah, I was a little shocked myself at that... I talked to the second highest bidder, and he told me this:

"Hello Rik---I have been collecting Inspector Gadget for a long time, that was the only time I had ever seen this game actually up for sale, I'm sorry to have been outbid---It was a premium only offered by sending away for it through a Life cereal box offer"

Being that it was a cereal offer, that would make them rare. Finding a sealed one would be even harder I imagine, since if you are going to take the time to order one, you probably want to play with it.

Did anyone see this auction for a mint boxed Wanted G-Man:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI.....amp;ih=008

The winning bid was $1,175!!!

That's insanely expensive and more than I paid for my (unboxed) AV!

I thought the world was in recession and we were all cutting down on our spending....

mamascellar just relisted the inspector gadget cereal-promotion game and jacked up the price by $93 USD.

so someone explain to me how a Buy It Now of $399.99 has the following message in the description:
"I will start every auction at a penny with no reserve, so good luck and thank you for looking!"

friggin idiot. Rolling Eyes

On the other hand, the sealed Gadget games could be ones left over after the promotion had ended. These unwanted games may have been lying around forgotten, while steadily increasing in value. We might see a few more sealed Gadget games pop up at these prices!

Neil.

Well, seeing who the winning bidder is shouldn't surprise anyone... Wanted G-Man is definitely more rare than an AV, it's just not as well known. And other than the fading, that's a damn nice box...

And he's listed it at $.01 also:

I wonder what he'd do if someone grabs the $400 the same instant the one cent one ends...

I sold a sealed Tiger Inspector Gadget game in March of 08 and that sold for $125. An Inspector Gadget fan in France out bid a Tiger game collector here in the US for it. Another crossover game that appeals to more than one bracket.

Like the Catch a Coke game.

I've sold G.I. Joe handhelds that went to G.I. Joe collectors. etc.

It's like the Coco to the Rescue game from Kelloggs. Some of these cereal games must have huge crossover appeal.
