I started getting interested in the Chip technology for handhelds, can anybody provide me with links to websites carrying info?

Excellent idea ! I remember I was looking for infos about NEC D553C160 chip (found in Tomy's Pucman) without any luck Crying or Very sad
I am also interested in having some more detailed specs about these chips.

with some help from good old Google I managed to find some technical specs of HD38820 chip (used on many tabletops like Coleco's etc)

HD38820
Hitachi Semiconductor : 4-Bit Microcontroller-Microcomputer

On-Chip RAM (Bytes)=640 bytes
On-Chip ROM (bytes)=2.1k
Number of Interrupt Lines=2
