Ok , I've received this beautiful and almost untouched Bazin Romtec Colorvision.
In the batteries compartment I found , within a little plastic bag, this thing that at first I didn't recognize :
My question is: what is it?
Ok in case you wonder, it is a replacement of the little cover of the joystick, and its metal spring to pull it out of the game.
As Rik correctly points out,the cartridges are nothing more than just a LCD screen , having the machine all the pre-programmed routines for the 5 different games.
With the little cover you simply disable the possibility of the joystick to move on all four its directions, making it work only left-right on some games in which a 4 way movement is not required. The game (Chasse aux Monstres) explains just that.
I hope I got this right! Otherwise I'll bury myself!

Yep, you got it right. I got one with one of my Colorvisions too... I suppose it's not something you really have to use, but it might make the left/right only games a little easier to play...
