That's reasonable; did you mean to put this in the Cool Item on eBay thread? |

"This game is from the mid 1970's and was created by Bandai, Sega. I have spent hours searching internet pages trying to find this item but I could not find a trace of it anywhere. I used search engines like Google, Yahoo and even had a look on Wikipedia. It is though this game doesn't exist. It is like the Boogyman/Bigfoot, people have heard about it, but never seen it before."
What unbelievably rare game could this be?

............................ Zaxxon.
So rare I have three of them!
I even asked him what he was talking about, turns out his research was mainly looking for it in Google Images. Pbbbbbth - must have dialup!
Insulting the intelligence of your target buying audience is a really great way to maximize your value, eh? |

You know, it's weird that my page for that game won't show up in Google... The LCD game comes up right on top, but there's nothing about the VFD one... Even if you limit the search to my website, it still doesn't show... I wonder why.
(But other reference do show up, so it's not like he couldn't find it...)

"THIS GAME IS AN ORIGINAL ( 7 OF 83 ) PROTO TYPE BY TIGER ELECTRONIC."
I have 8/83
I'm sure it's the manufactured date I think |

Heh, I just realized that's probably what he's looking at... I wrote to him asking about the 'proto' nature of the game, but haven't heard back yet...
Is there a sticker with 8/83 on yours? I'll have to take a look at mine now...
Still, it's kind of funny... |

Well, at least he figured out what 7/83 meant. He wrote back to me and said he thought the game was made to sell Tiger the idea of making a Donkey Kong game and that it wasn't released. He said I should do some research and let him know what I found... So I sent him here:
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Tiger/KingKong.htm
And told him Tiger couldn't get DK because Nintendo owned it, so they made a knock-off. He still suggests it's a proto in the listing though. Now, if it looked like the last picture on my museum page, I'd be all over it... |

But don't we all wish the true holy grails were this much? |
