The style of this game looks familiar but I can't find it in the Museum.

I have failed to find 3 x AA batteries that will fit properly in this game. The last one can't be pressed into place as batteries seem to have grown slightly over the years.

This is a size comparison with something a bit more familiar. It looks like they used the same font for both companies names. The plastic the games are made of is also virtually identical in colour and pattern.

The art work on the game seems a bit out of place as the box indicates that the enemy torpedoes come from submarines. Maybe the planes are launching torpedoes too and thats what is creating the splashes in the water??? Maybe I'm just thinking too hard about this Wink

I'm sure others have noticed, often cheap Chinese "Heavy Duty" AA's will fit when other AA's won't.

Thanks Rik, thought I'd seen something like it before Rolling Eyes

That's a good idea Dan. I was trying Duracell's but I'll have a rummage in my drawers for some cheap and nasty ones and give them a go Wink .

Hi Neil, I have found the Grandstand version in your own backyard (see eBay UK) Laughing :

All they did was just change the orange sticker on the box and the black one on the game, while the silver one on the back is the same with the same model number.

Orange sticker on the box! I didn't even notice it was a sticker Embarassed

I wonder what (if anything) it says under the sticker, i.e what company actually made this game?

Neil.

Look at the Conic one on my page, it doesn't have a sticker. It's just orange... (no company name or anything). Just looks like a good place to stick a company name!
