Hey Gals and Guys,

Finally managed to list over 100 HandHeld and Tabletop Games for Sales on EBAY. Now only about 400 to Go. Please check out my EBAY store under my NEW user ID momandboysshop (formerly gameinhand). They are selling fast thanks to members of this forum and other EBAYER's. Please note that while my asking prices are high on most games, thats because I have best offer option on all of my games. And typical EBAYER offers are a lot less than buy it now prices. Hopefully this way, the right price offers come in that I am looking to get on each game and I accept the offers.

Some of the rarer ones now on EBAY are: Konami Tutankham Tabletop, Bandai FL Burgertime Tabletop, Bandai Ultraman Push-Up, Tomy Tuxedo Sam Tarotstar Handheld, Gakken Defender and Gakken Space Invader Tabletops both MIB, Waddington 2001 Game Machine CIB, Grandstand Thomas the Tank Handheld, Tomy Mr DO! Handheld and many more and still many more to be posted daily over the next few months.

Any questions, email me through this forum or directly at: retroplaces@gmail.com.

As most of you know, I'm in the US.

Thanks,
Rich

Hi All,

For the record, I am selling many games on EBAY now.
Out of over 150 Games Sold, only (1) problem.

This is from registered user on this site: mobutu16

Just so everyone knows what happened.

He made a few offers.
I accepted one and made counter offers on the others.
He didnt accept any counter offers, which is fine.

So he decides not to pay for the auction I accepted his
offer on at his offer price.

That's it, now he is calling me a bad seller. Go figure.

With a feedback rating of 100%, it doesn't get any higher
than this and a Power Seller Rating which you only get if
you adher to EBAY's high standards, I must be doing
something right.

Thanks,
Rich

I can personally attest that Rich is an absolutely awesome seller. He is INCREDIBLY quick to reply to any offers or questions. And he'll do anything to fix a problem.

Not sure of the details on this situation, but if what Rich says is correct, you are obligated to buy the one item he accepted your offer on... If you have other details, maybe you should post them.

Hey Everyone,

Not to make a Big Deal out of this but the facts are the facts.
This guy made a couple of offers.
I accepted one offer.
I countered on the other offers.
No counter offers back, no acceptance, nothing.
Which as I mentioned before is fine.
That's what EBAY is all about.
Bottomline, its clearcut as far as I
can see it.

The offer he sent me on the one
item I accepted, he is obligated by
EBAYs rules to purchase.

Still don't understand why he didnt.

My guess is in his mind if I didnt accept
all his offers he wasnt going to purchase
the ones I did accept.

I think he is wrong.
I welcome all comments.
I try to do the right thing.
If I am wrong, I will fess up.

PS - He gave me negative feedback to
boot which EBAY is now investigating.
They tell me from how it appears so far,
that it should be removed within the
next 3 ro 4 days.

Thanks all for hearing me out.
Hate to be negative, we are all supposed
to be a family, right?

Thanks,

Rich

Correct. He should pay for the item that you accepted the offer on.

It will be removed. You have done nothing wrong. Feedback removal is one positive move Ebay made. He should get a strike or whatever it is for not paying.

I've also dealt with Rich in the past. He's a top bloke and an honest seller/trader.

Thanks Everyone,

From the responses posted and also ones that I have been getting personally, fellow collectors are agreeing that my side of the story is true and that mobutu16 really should have completed his accepted offer purchase with me. The negative feedback he left really was just some sort of retaliation I guess since I filed with EBAY to get my seller fees back, which they did do.

Oh, one other thing I want to add.
After the sale, I invoiced mobutu16 for the game purchased.
No response. Fine, figured I would hear back/get paid within
the 3 days.
Sent a reminder invoice after not hearing from him on the 4th day after the sale. Still no payment nor a response of any kind from him.
On the 7th day, I sent another email asking if there was any problem and that was it just an oversight that the invoice wasnt paid. After all, why make an offer if there was no intent to pay it if the offer was accepted.
Again, no payment, not even the courtesy of a response as to why no payment.
So, being a seller on EBAY on the 8th day, I put in a non-payer bidder alert with EBAY which in order to get fees back on this item, it was necessary to do.
So throughout the entire process, no response at all from him as to why he decided he didnt want to pay for this game. Only after I put the complaint through with EBAY did he finally respond. Which by the way made absolutely no sense in why he wasnt paying for this game. Even EBAY has contacted EBAY Spain for an interpretation since they dont understand his reason as well.

Thanks again for voicing your opinions. As most of you know, I've been collecting for years, love the hobby, and will continue to collect like most of you. Just time to sell a lot of spares that have accumulated over time.

And I want to keep my record clean here, at the HandHeld Museum and forum where I feel part of this great community of collectors.

If anyone would like to contact me directly, I can always be reached at retroplaces@gmail.com

And Rik, I apologize for all of this negative stuff which should not have reached this forum. But as you know, my reputation as a collector and seller is very important to me. So thanks for allowing me to post this issue.

Just closure on the problem I had with Mobutu16.
Its almost impossible to have feedback removed at EBAY.
So for them to have officially removed Mobutu16's negative
feedback against me really tells the real story.

Feels good to be back at 100%, doing my best to please all,
including a lot of customers from this site. Thanks again all
for backing up my reputation and thanks to those who of you
from this forum who have purchased from me. I really appreciate
that and will continue to offer some great rare games over the
next few months.

PS - Ebay's rules say that if an offer is accepted by a seller, the buyer is then obligated to purchase the item. So Mobutu16 should have purchased
the item he bought from me on EBAY. To add insult to injury,
not only did he not purchase but decided to leave me negative
feedback as well.

Those of you on the Forum who sell on EBAY you may want to
beware of this guy and not go through what I have. Not that
he would ever buy from me, but he is now on my blocked
bidder list as well, and no longer has that option.

ok, no more of this negative stuff, just wanted to bring this issue to closure.

Thanks all,
Rich

Actually, there's one situation where getting a neg removed is fairly easy: a neg left from someone who didn't pay for the item they purchased. eBay will give them a chance to explain why they didn't pay, and if they don't have a VERY good reason (like, proof that the seller is committing fraud), they will remove the feedback. Obviously, this was your situation. I'd be curious to find out if he even responded to eBay's request for a reason for not paying...

And, the seller gets a non-paying bidder slapped against them. That's actually worse than a negative feedback...
