Hi Rik,
Just got outbid on this Sad . Have you ever seen a light cased version of these games before? I also can't find this Romtec version in the FAQ.

At first I was thinking it was maybe bad photography or a horribly faded game, but I see that the fire buttons are dark brown, so it looks like a complete reverse of the normal colors... Neat find! (Next time, tell me BEFORE the auction ends! Twisted Evil )

This is one of those games that's kind of a pain to catalog becuase it seems every company on the planet sold it with their own sticker in the upper-left corner. From my investigating it looks like Ramtex actually manufactured them (their name is inside the game on the circuit boards). I have the same game as this one listed under Shira:

http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Misc/ShiraAlienInvaders.htm

And I think I actually have a Romtec version (but it's brown).

I only spotted it about 1.5 hrs before the bid ended, and I bid for it myself just before the end.....I was a bit suprised to be outbid as I hadn't seen the winners name before and he didn't seem to go too high on things. I would have been glad to tell you before it finnished (like Musical Marvin) but if I did I definately wouldn't have stood a chance then Wink

Hi Peter,
It's been quite quiet for me lately, but I have been outbid on some rarities Crying or Very sad . I did win
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI.....T&rd=1 yesterday though! I've got a nice space for it next to my Great Escape Very Happy How about you....anything good?

I have recently started collecting Tomy Pocketeers (Tomy Pocket) games (I had 2 as a kid). They are cheap and quite easy to find, and my kids love them. Pocketeers might even deserve a place in the Museum since the Tomy Pocket Arcade series is included. I have never seen a Pocket Arcade but I would think that the play value would be similar.

What do you think Rik?

Those British sellers who post to UK only sure can wind up letting their games go too cheap because of it!

Although I usually get the OK to bid here in the US when I ask them...

I have 2 pocketeers.

When i find one on a felamarket i buy it.
Hard to find here and to buy in another country is to expensive for me.

Here a great site with almost all the pocketeers from UK and Japan:
