Actually, I think I mistook JoePal's join date as the last post date in this thread... Rolling Eyes

Rik, did you ever get that CD? I mailed it to the address you gave me on 2/18 I think and it hasn't come back to me undelivered. It may not have gone out until the Monday after but you should have gotten it by now. Please let me know. If it doesn't arrive I may have to revive the ole ftp server software.

Actually, yes, I did get it a while back... I was looking through the pics and was going to attempt to tidy them up a little more before posting, but work keeps getting in the way... Mr. Green

I'll put them online (as is) over the weekend and let everyone know where they are. I'll leave it up to you guys if you want to clean them up even more. (They look pretty good small, but when you enlarge the images you can see lots of wierd edges and coloring on some of them...) Galaxian is also not 100% like the handheld (I think he took the artwork from the actual arcade game and didn't modify to match the handheld perfectly... Probably didn't have one for reference.)

I haven't tried printing any yet, so I don't know how passable they are when printed...

Sorry about not being more prompt with this, I know a bunch of you are waiting for these...

I'm glad to hear you got it. From what I read you don't have to change the size or anything to print those. I never did print any because I don't have a photo quality printer. Actually, at the moment my printer consists of a ink pen and a piece of paper. Definately not photo quality. Anyhow, enjoy them and thanks again for hosting them.

Okay, I've zipped up all the graphics for each game seperately. There were .PSD (Photoshop) files for some of them on the CD, but all they are is all the .JPGs laid out in one huge file, so I didn't see the point of including them. Each game should have the top, marquee, 2 sides and the instruction sticker from the bottom. None of the control overlays were on the CD.

The quality and accuracy vary... Here's the links (I put them on the old HHM server, let me know if there's any problems accessing them):

http://users2.ev1.net/%7Erik1138/ColecoRestore/donkeykongjr.zip
http://users2.ev1.net/%7Erik1138/ColecoRestore/frogger.zip
http://users2.ev1.net/%7Erik1138/ColecoRestore/galaxian.zip
http://users2.ev1.net/%7Erik1138/ColecoRestore/mspacman.zip
http://users2.ev1.net/%7Erik1138/ColecoRestore/pacman.zip
http://users2.ev1.net/%7Erik1138/ColecoRestore/zaxxon.zip

Also, keep in mind that the Donkey Kong Jr. stickers are designed for the prototype version of the game, not for the game that was actually sold in stores...

Enjoy... If I get the chance to make these better, I'll let everyone know (anyone else is welcome to clean them up as well...)

Rik

(Note- Okay, I just printed the side art for DK, Ms Pac and Zaxxon to compare. They all look a little dark (but that might vary from printer to printer, and can be adjusted), the Zaxxon one looks pretty good printed, as does the Ms Pac. If you want to be picky, the DK needs some work, it kinda looks computer generated, not all the colors are filled in where they should be, the copyright is missing, and some parts just look hand-drawn (like the oval shaped border around the name). I'm guessing this one wasn't made from an actual sticker off the Coleco game, and the other two were... But, if the alternative is no stickers on your game, these actually do look really good...)

What other games are needed the most? I'll help out where I can... Smile I sometimes take close-up photos of the stickers on my games, so I might even have a few ready to go (I'll have to dig through my photo directories...)

I've also been cleaning up one of the side stickers for Zaxxon (just started on that one for some reason). After a couple of hours I managed to get about half to look remarkably better than the other half... I'll finish it up and post so you can compare. It's one of those things where the original looks fine, but when you look at the old and the new side-by-side, it's a pretty significant difference... (I'm printing these on a color laser printer...)

Oh yeah, forgot about QBert and the Gakken games... Do the Nintendo games actually have stickers? I don't have a lot of them, but most of the ones I've seen actually have pieces of metal (with printing on them) glued to the games. I guess we could try to repro those, but it wouldn't look the same. Smile (I guess we should do the real Coleco Donkey Kong Jr. as well...)

I think Dig Dug is one of the games I took pictures of... The round sticker on those games should be easy to scan.

I'll give a couple of them a shot over the next few days and see how they turn out...

I'd like to find a company (or a way) to re-create the styrofoam packing things that are supposed to be in game boxes... I still can't figure out how people always seem to have the box, manual, game & battery cover, but have managed to loose or throw away the styrofoam packing inserts... These can't be too hard to re-produce...

Still no luck, Im keep getting this,

(End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/john/Coleco/stickers/mspacman.zip or
/home/john/Coleco/stickers/mspacman.zip.zip, and cannot find /home/john/Coleco/stickers/mspacman.zip.ZIP, period.)

But the rest of the stickers I can opan. I dont get it.
