Yes, that's absolutely true.
I was just guessing.

I am also 100% sure that a Death Corridor cartridge exists (I have seen a picture of it.)

All Gamate 3D copyrights are 1983.
All ProScreen copyrights are 1984 except the one in the system, that has a 1983 copyright in the back.

About the Vtech ProScreen, I own all 3 games:

- Escape: 80-0564
- Death Corridor: 80-0565
- Formula 500: 80-0566

- Escape box:90-0219-00
- Death Corridor box: 90-xxxx-yy (I guess 0220-00. It was included with the Vtech ProScreen but I just have the cartridge and the manual.)
- Formula 500 box: 90-0221-00

- Escape manual: 91-0229-00
- Death Corridor manual: 91-0230-00
- Formula 500 manual: 91-0231-00

This other 3 games are featured in the back of the cartridges box (with the other 3), but I have never seen them:

- Volcano Rescue: 80-0567
- American Football: 80-0568
- Warpath: 80-0569

I would love to see it Smile

You mean that 1983 appears on the game bottom sticker? Anyways, Proscreen was released in 1983 for sure.

OK, thanks!

In the Proscreen game I had, the included cartridge was loose too, and it was brand new from an old stock. I suppose they always sold units with the "loose" cartridge inside.

I wouldn't gess the box was 0220, because the "Death Corridor" was probably the "pack-in game" with every Proscreen. This would mean that the never sold as "standalone cartridge in its own box".

I owned the Italian Proscreen game, and it also had Death Corridor as pack-in cartridge.

***** I need the code of the Proscreen box. I suppose it's 90-0218-00. Is it? Polistil version was 90-0218-04. I suppose Ludotronic version was 90-0218-02 or -03. *****

That's great, thanks! Smile

***** I still miss the following information: Gamate 3D - Formula 500 manual *****

At this point, this is the info I have:

* Pro-screen unit + Death Corridor (game name printed on box, not on sticker)
- cat n. 80-0565
- box 90-0218 (unit)
- manual 91-0228 (unit) + 91-0230 (game)

* Pro-screen Escape (game cartridge only)
- cat n. 80-0564
- box 90-0219
- manual 91-0229

* Pro-screen Formula 500 (game cartridge only)
- cat n. 80-0566
- box 90-0221
- manual 91-0231

Here you can see a bad picture (not mine) of the Death Corridor cartridge inside a 3D Gamate.

I found the ProScreen box code. It's the one you guessed.

The 1983 is engraved in the plastic of the game.

I don't have the Formula 500 3D Gamate manual Sad

Have you seen another version of this system? It's called "PRO-MO". It's red instate of yellow. The cartriges are dark grey/black.

Thanks!

So the Gamate 3D was released with a loose "Formula 500" game cartridge, even lacking the manual?

Another version of the Gamate 3D? Was it branded by VTech, or was it licensed to some other distributor?

I bought a loose Formula 500 cartridge some weeks after I bought the system to the same seller, so I don't know. The seller didn't had it.

The PRO-MO is a ProScreen german version. It was on sale on eBay a couple of years ago.

This are the pictures that appeared on that auction. I found them on a forum (digitpress), and saved them.
The game, Angriff aus dem all means “Attack from space” in german.

I'm sorry I don't understand.

What was the pack-in-game to the Gamate 3D system? The box has a printing on it, reading "includes Formula 500", right? Was the game actually included in the console?

In such case, I suppose the Formula 500 manual had to be included in the console as well. At least, with Pro-Screen and Variety, VTech used to include both console and game manuals.

In such case, no Formula 500 box exist, as the cart probably came loose in the console box. But the manual should have been there imho.

That's really incredible!!!!! Wonderful!

From the artwork printed on the cartridge, I would say it's Death Corridor (as usual).

Thanks much for sharing the great information!

When I bought the 3D Gamate I got the box, the game and the manual, but no cartridges.

I bought the cartridge from the same seller, some weeks after I got the system. I'm absolutely sure the cartridge came with the system, because that's what it says in the box design.

There's not a lot of free space inside the box so maybe the cartridge came inside the system. Just guessing.

I suppose there should be a Formula 500 manual also, but I didn't get it.

Yes, I'm 100% sure the PRO-MO cartridge is Death Corridor, named completely different in the french version (Red Alert) and the german one (Attack from Space). I like the 3 names but I think the first one is more epic Wink

Ever since Alex found his Gamate 3d, I've been looking for a similar one. It took 3.5 years, but I finally found one, actually two new in the box. Both were non-working, but I was able get both of them working. Would love to get the death corridor cartridge to complete the set, but right now I am just happy to have these in new old stock.

Regards,
Linda
