According to the game manual, it was released in USA in 1981

If you like the game, maybe you'll enjoy playing the "simulator" on Windows:

Thanks for your reply - is it possible then that it was not released in UK?

Thanks for the nice words. Smile

You should get the full "Madrigal CD Collection" featuring all games and a nice users interface.

I dont think the game wasn't released in the UK. Being it a Mattel game, it was probably distributed worldwide.

Since the game is identical to "Masters of the Universe", you may want to extend your research to that game, where and when it was released, etc.

From my memory, the D&D and Masters game appear from time to time on Ebay.co.uk, so I suppose they sold well there.

PS: by writing "it was released in USA in 1981", I meant it was "originally" or "firstly". I didn't mean "in USA only". Smile

I'm not sure I've ever seen evidence that it was released outside of the US/Canada, at least as 'D&D' from Mattel. Maybe the Masters of the Universe version, or something else entirely...

There may have been some companies in the UK that imported it though (and certainly a number of them have reached there over the years since it's release), but I don't know if Mattel ever 'officially' released it anywhere overseas.
