My friend, who's sharing my same interest in the "Game & Time" series has just posted a request on the forum:

http://www.handheldmuseum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2144

He's asking for some help with pictures of the Grab Man game - calculator version.

If anyone could help, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks Smile

Thanks for the promotion MADrigal! Smile So far no results, but I had a feeling it would be pretty hard finding any pictures of this one...

The video by Cogweasel is online, at last!

It covers everything on the infamous "Grab Man" game! Smile

Found photos of one more game belonging to the same series.

Even though the "game & time" logo is not there (probably removed for local distribution), everything resembles VERY MUCH like every other game of the same series

- same "acl", "left" and "right" font as appearing in Bull Fight
- same buttons as appearing in several games
- catalogue number following the "usual" method (AS-22 = "AStro blitz, 22nd game of the series)

Heh, I have one of those... Never associated with these since it looks so different (although I forgot about Pandamonium)... I hadn't thought about the XX-## numbering though... I'll have to look through my 'unknown LCD' games and see if any others fit...

Although most of them are following using the initials as the name, you would think this would be AB-22... I wonder why they varied on this and Shark Attack. Unless they didn't want to re-use the same two letter combo, and some other game is AB-##...

Do you have an Astro Blitz, or just found pictures? I can look inside it if there's the chance of useful info there...

And right on top of my games I found 'Punch-A-Roo', PR-24.

And has the exact same
POWER SOURCE: 1.5V
USE 1 BUTTON CELL
BATTERY.
(11.6 x5.0mm)
on the back as Grab Man and Astro Blitz

(with two other characters I can't easily type on that last line. Cool )
Doesn't look like any of the others I can find a pic of (quickly), just a basic rectangle.

Little crappy pic:

Now I'm motivated to look... I don't put these on the website as fast as other things (not that anything moves fast with me these days. Rolling Eyes ). I tend to ignore the LCDs unless there's some unique-ness to it in some way...

Wow very cool!

So at the moment the list of games is as follows:

SW-11 Snow White (11th game)
SB-12 Sleeping Beauty (12th game)
BF-14 Bull Fight (14th game)
AD-15 Astro Destroyer (15th game)
GM-16 Grab Man (16th game)
SR-17 Sea Rescue (17th game)
PD-21 Pandamonium (21st game)
AS-22 Astro Blitz (22nd game) *ADDED 22/02/2015 *
SK-23 Shark Attack (23rd game)
PR-24 Punch-A-Roo (24th game) *ADDED 22/02/2015 *
JM-25 Jumble (25th game)

Not sure why Astro Blitz is "AS" but it could be as you said, that AB was previously used for some other game. Similarly to what Nintendo did with the codes of the G&W games.

That's 'Punch-a-Roo', as in Kangaroo... Smile

But I suppose if you know someone named Rod you don't like that would make it more fun... Mr. Green

LOL! Very Happy

Punch-a-roo.... I suspect that might be have the same gameplay as Bull Fight and Shark Attack. The three games have a button for attacking, and one for defending...

A rare Sea Rescue is now on sale on Ebay Australia.

Hanimex version, boxed complete!

This is a great occasion to see photos of the box and manual, too
