I am planning to re-release the "Dk Jr Tabletop (Nintendo) Simulator" with better graphics, similarly to what I have recently done with the Coleco version.
Unfortunately I dont own the game anymore.

Anyone out there has a nice-looking copy of the game, and is somehow skilled with a camera?

I need a fresh picture of the game, seen from the very front, as similar as possible to the one I have used for the Coleco version of the game.

In reward, the contributor will be mentioned on the website and the game's documentation.

Very Happy

So, if you are willing to contribute with this, please send me a PM or contact me through the Madrigal's Simulator website (email address is lucantignano AT gmail DOT com) so we can arrange the thing.

Thanks! Very Happy

PS: I'm also after a similar service for the Panorama version of the game, so if you have it, well drop me a line.

That would be great!

You are a master with the camera! Very Happy

Anyway, please download the Dk Jr Coleco Simulator and try to shoot a picture as close as possible to that one.

Thanks!

Do you want the white or beige one?

Is there a beige version of the game? Shocked

The one I had was whiteish/yellowish, so I'd go for that.

Anyway I don't really need the game to be in fully working status. I wil simply use the graphics of the tabletop game only, as I have the LCD graphics done already.

Basically I would just replace the tabletop photograph in the Coleco version with the one of the Nintendo version.

*** IMPORTANT ***

I have just noticed that the scans of the Dk Jr (Nintendo) manual in my possession are totally crap, very low quality and very high jpg compression.

Would anyone out there please send me good quality (300 dpi uncompressed JPG, or PNG) scans, best if with the "black paper" method?

The color might have varied, but you can see mine here:

The top pic. It's a little deeper yellow actually, hopefully I can get a better color representation out of it. I did find it, just have to clear off the photo table and take some pics.

No manual unfortunately (just the Coleco one)...

The picture is great.

The perspective is not exactly what I had in mind, but it looks great either way.

I am a little bit concerned about that white logo close to the "jump" button. What's that? I need to find a way to remove it, otherwise the photo won't be good for my purpose.

I'll keep you posted.

Still looking for good quality scans of the manual.

What do you want for perspective, a little more of a fish-eye look to it? The picture from the Coleco simulator does look a little.. something. Camera obviously closer or further away...

The sticker is a 'Futuretronic' sticker... Didn't even notice it. I can peel it off and take another picture (I don't have the box, so I don't care if the Futuretronic sticker is there or not, looks like they are the only ones that did that...)

Let me know if you want me to take another one (I probably will for my website anyway, so it's no big deal...)

There was a cream-white and a rarer super-white version.

I would try to keep the display as big as possible against the rest of the graphics. The big issue is with the height: I typically keep it below 750 pixels, so if you can get the "correct" perspective, you can get the perfect balance between overall height and screen size.
Very hard for me to explain, anyway if you look at my Coleco simulator, you'll see what I mean. The same I did with Tron, and all VTech tabletops.

Yes please, that would be great!

Thanks, as usual. Smile

Try this one:

http://www.handheldmuseum.com/_Temp/Nintendo-DKJr2.jpg

Sticker removed (left a very faint circle though... Mr. Green ), and I tried to get the angle a little better to match yours. A little photoshop scaling should make it match pretty close.

I don't think my camera lens can achieve the same 'pinch' as in your Coleco simulator (I currently only have one lens...). The game doesn't really look like that either, when playing it at a comfortable distance it looks pretty much straight all the way down the sides.

It is hard to match the exact setup someone else used for a photo though... Might be easier for me to photograph both DK Jrs at the same time. Same camera/layout/lighting... They'd match perfectly then.
Cool (I could do Snoopy and Popeye too... Don't have Mario anymore though...)

Rik, this picture looks perfect to me.

And many thanks for removing the sticker (the faint circle is almost unnoticeable, so well done!).

I am working on the Towering Rescue simulator these days. As soon as I'm finished with it, I will do the job on DK Jr.

Same kind of picture for Snoopy would be very appreciated, as I don't have the game anymore.

In such case, I would also need a very high resolution photo of the display, if it's convenient for you.

I dont need Popeye, I have not simulated it. I had the tabletop but sold it because I dont like the game, and I decided not to simulate it.

Thanks very very much, you're definitely an asset in this community Smile
