When you lose all your lives, is there a way to reset/restart/continue a game without having to manually turn off and on the machine again? Confused

I know the Entex Version has a 'Start' and 'Continue' button which is INCREDIBLY convenient. Surprisingly, with the Tandy version the Entex demo trick works- holding down the Missile button while turning the Tandy game on activates the demo mode. But can you also restart a game without having to turn off the machine first?

Can't recall about this one specifically, but I do know that on a lot of these games, shutting it off is the only way to reset it after the game is over... So it wouldn't surprise me... Cool

Yeah it doesn't seem like it can be reset by a simple button press. It's inconvenient having to switch the machine off and on again every time just to start a new game. I may have to hunt down the Entex version since it's clearly more advantageous.

You should hunt down an Entex as well for the looks. It's IMO Entex's greatest looking "vft table top".

Do you own the Entex version blanka? If so, how's the joystick on it? I do like the plastic feel of the joystick on the Tandy version and it's quite responsive. From pictures the Entex version looks like a metallic stick?

I love Entex Super Cobra.

This is a video of gameplay (filmed by me): https://youtu.be/VSU67FSYShY

The joystick is in metal and has a good response and good feeling.

Sorry for my bad english. Smile

P.S.
Do you know that not all Entex Super Cobra tabletops have the button "Continue"? But the button "Start" yes, is always present. Smile

Don't apologize Jethro, your English is very good. Smile

Thank you for the video and picture, I had no idea that some of the Entex versions came without a 'Continue' button! You learn something new everyday. Wink

Seems that I definitely should have picked up the Entex version over the Tandy one. The Tandy one was pretty cheap so I thought I got a great deal, but I guess now I know why it was so cheap- because it lacks numerous features from the Entex version Laughing

Yep, you can see both versions here:

And the joystick isn't metal, it's plastic. They just put a little metal cover on it to make it look nice (but these come off easily, so you may find them forsale with just a plastic joystick).

Here's a better picture of the two different versions:

I definitely prefer having the 'Missile' and 'Bomb' button to the right. I have no idea why they made two versions of this. The more I look at the Entex version is the more I regret getting the Tandy version. Laughing
