I actually got this and several other Atari items at a yard sale several years ago with my dad. He always went to yard sales all the time, but didn't know anything about video games. Knowing that I'm a huge old gaming fan he let me know, and I think we ended up buying everything there. Most of the items were typical systems/games in very good shape. The only oddball was the "Tronic 2" handheld game that for the last 15+ years I haven't really found any info on. I'm hoping someone on the forum can help provide any info! I haven't even bothered to try putting batteries in it yet to see if it works. It's not in perfect shape, but overall its good. The plastic inserts are a little bent, and it seems to be missing some piece at the very top.

Nifty!

According to this very website, these made it past prototype stage into full working models but never got put into full production -- so, rare to say the least!

This avid collector is definitely on the hunt for one per his website:

Definitely rare. Only the 2nd I've ever seen. The other was mint or new in box and my $1500 bid was just the runner-up. This is no longer on my top want list, but is truly an amazing find. You should put batteries in it a nd show us how it works.

Regards,
Linda
