Never got why this would be anything "holy grail". Ugly, flaky, imposible to play, hardly sold back then because of this and got dumped by stores soon after its release. This came from a company that made stunning handhelds like Galaxian II, Super Cobra and Spiders/Star Gate. The designer had a total off-day on Adventure Vision and they re-released their VFD games in an inferior state. Take Turtles, it is a shadow of the VFD version. The AV must have solely put Entex out of business early 84.
It's just a perfect proof that crap quality is positively related to insane prices: the easier something breaks, or the more a game sucks, the pricier it gets. Same with all those colour LCD table tops by Orlitronic: they are all dead by now yet they do 500+ bucks all the time in an unplayable state. Luckily the best handheld ever is also one of the cheapest.... Epoch FTW! _________________ Making the book on handheld games: www.2kboffun.com |

I have to agree with you on the Adventurevision. Rarity is the only incentive here. _________________ Keep on playing... no matter what ! |
