Game review section!
This section is dedicated to reviews of the actual game play of handheld games. Compare one manufacturer to another when there's multiple versions (like Pac-Man and it's clones), compare the game play to its arcade counterpart, where appropriate. Share videos of game play and playing tips, and even some photos... Share why it's your favorite (or least favorite) game.

This forum will be sorted like the High Score forum- alphabetically by manufacturer and then game name. This is dependent on titling the thread appropriately, so if you are starting a thread for a new game, please title it like this: (copied from the High Score forum)

[Manufacturer Name] [Game name]

Like:

Coleco Donkey Kong

Don't do:
Coleco - Donkey Kong
Coleco's Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong by Coleco
etc... or the sort will put it in a weird place...

Awesome!

I like the idea of a write up. Also, if someone wants to be quick, they could just do their personal rating. Should we keep to a standard format example:

Ratings:(1-10) - Difficulty:(Easy, Average, Hard)

Graphics: 8
Sound:6
Gameplay:3
Difficulty: Easy

Overall:5

Also, I've been using tinypic to post pictures. But I read those pictures expire after 90 days if not viewed.

So I did some research and this site has no expiration: https://postimages.org/

Something that could be considered when posting pictures.

Yeah, awesome!

We all have different opinions on the games we own but all legitimate positive/negative contributions will be appreciated.

IPDB.org has a nifty way of keeping an 'Average Fun Rating' for pinball games with players' opinions. Example of one of my favorite pins (which I happen to own):
---
Spectrum (https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2274)

REVIEWS: https://www.ipdb.org/rate/showrate.pl?gid=2274

Average User Rating: 6.99 / 10 with 27 ratings and 21 comments

Art: 7.52 / 10
Audio: 6.33 / 10
Playfield: 7.11 / 10
Game Play: 7.00 / 10
---

But I'm not sure if that format is possible here, or too much of a pain to adjust for handheld scrutiny and incorporate. Just sharing enthusiasm!

... and then Rik will have to add review links to the Handheld Game Museum pages! Shocked Very Happy

I try to download the pictures whenever someone posts them, and then if the actual links disappear I replace them with local, permanent copies... Although I've missed a few in the past. Smile

A lot of these image hosting sites that claim to be forever still tend to 'lose' images a lot...

Thanks Rik!

I appreciate that. I will continue to use tinypic, unless there is a better recommendation.
