Prinztronic Galactic Invaders - 1981 (VFD)

This is a pretty cool vfd handheld.

It was sold under 3 or more different names. In my opinion, this version has the best box art, color manual, and funky name.

Like Firefox F-7, it samples from Star Wars.

It plays and looks like a mix between Tandy's Fire Away and Space Invaders. It also adds an element of it's own by having all the invaders scroll off screen before moving down to come back on screen.

It has two difficulty levels with an option to choose how many lives you want (1-5). The downside is you beat the game when you get to 199. I wish they would have made it 999. Difficulty 2 with 1 life is challenging to get to that 199 though.

The gameplay is smooth, the colors are bright. Overall, it's unique and easy to play.

Ratings:(1-10) - Difficulty:(Easy, Average, Hard)

Graphics: 7
Sound: 6
Gameplay: 7
Difficulty: Easy

Overall: 6.5
