Two things:

One, anyone have any likes/dislikes with the new way I'm laying things out? Like on these pages:
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Actronics/GrandprixTurboWalkie.htm
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Nintendo/LoveTester.htm
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Kenner/LiveActionFB.htm
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Misc/ElekitKidsAdventure.htm

Everything work for everybody? Do they look neat? Are they annoying? Wink

Also, look at the new layout on the Adventure Vision page:
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Entex/AV.html
Looking at the text at the top, does that look better than this:
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Entex/AV1.html
Or does the second one look better? I can't really decide if I like the whole centering thing or not... The forth link on the top list (the kit game) is another good example of 'extreme centering'. Does that look 'normal', or would having everything start from the left look more normal?

Just wanted to see what you guys thought...

(And, hey, I'm updating the site! 3 days in a row!)

Also, do you guys like the Convention pictures? I have a lot more of that kind of stuff to prepare for the website, and I was wondering if I should do that now, or would you rather see game updates and conventions later?

For me ,the more comprehensive the better.I' have a 4 mega DSL and Avant Browser (based on IE 7) and didn't have any problems in viewing those pages. They look professional and less amateur. As I said before the more stuff you find for a certain game the better, would it be history or photos or whatever. On the pop ups I will change the fonts and keep the ones of the main page.
As for the watermarking the pictures I think ,if I may, that a somewhat transparent logo would be better.
As for the centering thing ,from a pure aestethically point of view I prefer the left centered text.
Finally the conventions photos are fine but ,I'll focus too on updating the pages regarding the games which are in the faq or haven't yet had a page in the Museum.

OBVIOUSLY IMHO. Wink

Oh yeah, forgot about the font on the Pop-ups...

Is the 'watermarking' annoying at all? I opted for a more visible mark, but off the item itself. It's just so people won't link directly to the images on my site. If they want to steal the pics, they have to copy them and crop out the website name... At least make them work for it. Cool

I don't like sites that smear their name all over the thing being photographed, so I figured this was best.

BTW- Alex, is that your original Mattel Football from childhood in your avatar? That made thing it might be kind of neat to custom-paint an extra Football to with a favorite team theme...

Hey Rik, you're right on the mark!! It is my,or I should say our including my younger brother, original 1977 and first ever handheld of my childhood.Of course it's NOT working, it's broken, it's scratched, and it's colored.Unfortunately the colors don't refer to any team as I was a Vikings fan while my brother was a Cowboys fan (never understood why so many people in Minnesota rooted for a Dallas team!).So it should have been purple (pride) and yellow or blue and silver.
I don't think no one in my Junior high ever painted one,it would have been cool! A PIMPED Mattel Football!!!! Laughing
Talking about serious things(sic),the watermarking is ,as you said necessary , and I agree with you. What I meant was that maybe, maybe, a less concupiscent style(see color) would be better. You too used a black one and a yellow one.How about making it semitransparent?

Yeah, I can dim it down a little... I used the black one because the yellow doesn't show up at all on a white background... I'll go forward with that, but it might be a while before I go back and change pictures already uploaded...

I think I used yellow original because of the Pac-Man font... Cool

I like the new style, nice upgrade, very clean look. Quite a job you'll have there changing all those pages...

Personally i prefer http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Entex/AV.html it looks better. In fact it's one of the first thing they tell you in a website creation course, don't abuse on the centering.

I'd love to see an update on games, conventions are also cool, but having more games featured would be very great !

Yeah, the more I looked the centered version, the more it just didn't look right. Especially with the list of information. I like the entire page being centered, and I'll center the text if it's just one line (or maybe two), anything more than that and it's getting the left-justify...
