|

My games are stored in my attic room and recently we have seen wasps flying in and out under the tiles on the end of our roof. There is a built in cupboard under the eaves on one side of this room which stores my games boxes/Christmas things etc. I haven't been in there for some months as things had found a home in front of the door.
I have swept up about 60 dead wasps from my games room in the last couple of days so I thought I'd better see if I could find where they were coming from. This cupboard was one of two likely places. This is what I found when I opened the door!
There is space on the other side of the hardboard they are stuck to so could be more on the other side .
As the wasps are finding their way into my home in some numbers now I'm going to have to do something about them. I hope any chemicals that have to be used won't harm my collection in any way as they will be in close proximity.

Wow, that's probably the coolest looking nest I've seen in a while...
If you use any kind of spray, I would at least cover the games with a sheet or plastic or something. It probably won't harm them, but if any chemical settles on them, you will probably be able to see it and have to clean them all... |
