Cool

This one has the plastic bag and the styro top piece... So whoever bought the other one needs this to complete it 100%. Mr. Green

Guess he should buy it and destroy the second. Now the new one deflates the price.
Like the story of the Japanese stamp collector. He bought the second of a rare stamp, then put it on fire, to see the one he had triple in value.

I am sorry that I cannot participate in auction this time either.

I think any award for the most incarnations of a game has to have Astro Thunder on its short list. Here's yet another:

It's a bit expensive. You can find a boxed Grandstand version for half.

Definitely. Was only noting how often a new iteration of the game seems to turn up.

Which is why you should never list something BIN... Mr. Green You will almost always either sell it too cheap, or not sell it at all because you think it's priceless... Rolling Eyes

And who makes a BIN of $63.20? Where did that number come from? Laughing

Guess the seller applied inflation correction to the original purchase price.
Realistic price IMO, anyone paying more .....
Game is rare for a reason.

I'd like to get it sometime, too.

So, boxed Black Knight sells for 2563 USD in July 2016, and unboxed sells for 63 USD in Nov 2016 -- does that mean market value for the box is 2500 USD? Very Happy

If so, we can never again make fun of kids who have more fun with the box at Christmas.

Guess so. I was thinking 250€ boxes on Nintendo table tops were insane...
DK JR loose: 50ish, DK JR boxed: 300ish.
Same applies to the Snoopy's, Popeyes etc.
Which is kind of weird. I mean a similar sturdy Epoch box (Firefox 7, Galaxy II, Star Force etc) is only 10€ at most.

There are a few boxes I'd get spendy on -- the orange Konami Tut, Bandai Burgertime -- but it's only because I think the boxes are particularly fun / cute / interesting and because I have and love those games but don't have the boxes.

But even then, I wouldn't break the bank for the box.

The $63 one was a buy-it-now listing, not an auction... It can't be used to determine value. The seller just didn't know what it was worth.

And of course, now that whoever won that last one for $2500 has one, it's likely it will never sell that high again. The third highest bid was $1200, so if the same people (except the winner) bid again and bid their same amounts, it would sell for $1250. I'd put the actual value of a mint boxed at 950-1200... That's the price range it would likely get multiple times if a few of them came up for auction.

Just noticed a loose Black Knight sold in December for $1800!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/192049908563

Whoa, it's the same one from before, the seller was the same guy who bought it for $63.20! No way two different guys would have the exact same feedback score of 15428!

28.5 times your money, not bad!

(I've done better... 780 times on a pack of razor refills, for instance...)
