A lot of Ebay veterans just bid in the last few seconds of an auction, so that might have something to do with it. Also, most of the collectors I know that willing throw a lot of money at these games already have this one...

Uhh, that's hardly rare and certainly not worth that price... It's currently a Target exclusive (so if you live in the US, just go to Target). It's $397 online:
http://tinyurl.com/autbt
and I think it's even cheaper in stores. I was playing their display model last week, and while it's cool looking at all, you really get the impression it's not worth more than $150. People are saying it's just one of those little joystick games built into a cheap cabinet with a 14-inch TV...
But if he sells it for that price, maybe I'll buy some and list them too.

About the Tiger Tabletop...
I have a Tiger King Kong, but if the price doesn't go too high I would consider buying that one for spare parts and exploring. I think people will bid at the very end likethey did on that Tiger Monster Maze Tabletop a couple months ago.

Re: the multi-arcade, the one in the auction should be even less since it's a tabletop and the one at Target is floor-standing...
Re: Tiger King Kong, did everyone get a load of "The bottom battery cover is missing, but that doesn?t detract from a game of this caliber"? Ya! And I bet having a box wouldn't matter either! |

Dan, I saw that. I personally liked the comment when the seller says one with a broken joystick sold for over $400.

The Tiger Tabletop went out 95,99$... ithougt it will go over 200$.

It's verry difficult to find out what the value is of a game, because it depends how many want the game, how the auction is promoted on Ebay and a lot of other thingds.
Is this Tiger Tabletop sold for a low price?

Yeah, ($113 US) noticed that myself... It's probably a fair price considering the condition of the game (missing battery cover and all). Again, being the more common of the Tiger tabletops as well...
I've often thought of trying to make a price guide for games, but it can be so hard like you mentioned. It all depends on whether the 10 or so of us collectors that are willing to pay $100s for a game have it or not! I remember when those Casio Block Bursters NIB first appeared on Ebay (somebody apparently had a case of them), the first one sold for nearly $300 I think, and by the time he had finished selling them they were going for about $60. Now there's one constantly on Ebay for $129 that never seems to sell (we all have one now...)
Just 2 or 3 boxed games popping up on Ebay can kill the value of a game over night (Even a Gakken Moon Patrol sits on Ebay for $199. I remember just a year ago that was the most sought after game by EVERY collector (it seemed like)). Gakken Dig Dug, Entex Grand Prix, Grandstand Thomas the Tank Engine... I've seen a lot of games go from being 'worth' hundreds to selling on Ebay for less than $90.
Right now there's probably a couple of us that would pay $400 for a boxed Tiger Jawbreaker handheld or Star Castle handheld, but if 5 or 6 appear on Ebay, that value would probably drop to $100 or less... And you know thousands of these games were made (what we don't know is how many are still left...)
I think, personally, that there aren't enough serious collectors of these games to stabilize the market value of them yet... But, in some number of years, as more and more people like us re-discover them, the values will start to go back up, and will settle down and start acting normally (I've watched vintage Star Wars toys do this over the last 10 years, so it'll happen eventually.)
Now, keeping in line with the topic of this thread, here's a Casio Miracle Pinball someone just listed on Ebay:

You are right Rik,
It's verry hard to find out what the price is for a game.
I saw a Grandstand Thomas the tank boxed for 250$ and a few months later for 70$... almost in the same condition.
Some are not good titled or stay in the wrong category.
I allways searched on Dutch sites on words who are not normally and find a lot of games for low prices like a boxed Bandai Amazone for about 18$, G&W multiscreens for 7$ and go so on.
I hope that in the future someone makes a good catalogy for the games.
But that is a lot of work and verry difficult.
