Nice collection, I'm glad he doesn't have any I can't live without or I'd be in trouble... I did see this though:
-------------
Have a look at 20th Century Roadshow Collectables Price Guide -
ISBN 1-4053-0995-4 DK Collectables Price Guide by Judith Miller.
Gives you an idea of what these games are worth - reserve is set lower than this....!!!!
-------------
Anyone seen that book? I'm curious what they have to say about the games... Amazon link:

Neil, that helps on Judith Miller, but not on what the book says.
I've sent the seller an email asking for detail on what the book says. Hopefully they will respond. Did you notice the seller lowered the reserve?
Someone may get a nice lot for even less.

Got a response.
The seller says the book says, "the majority of these games have a value of between ?30-?50"
Interestering that the book speaks on them, I wish we had a bit more of the details, but that's it.

I just ordered it from Amazon... It'll probably take a week to get here (I think it's shipping from the UK), but when it does I'll post what it says about them (and scan the pages if they are interesting...)

I wish I could get ?60-80 for a loose Star Wars Electronic Battle Command! Or ?50-70 for a loose Tron! Or ?70-90 for a loose Mario Cement Factory!
Meanwhile, anyone who wants to sell me a Rosy Astro Attack for ?30-40, I'll take all ya got!
Thanks for posting those, Neil! |

I think Rik and Linda might be interested in this (and maybe a few others). I'm telling you about it as I doubt I can outbid HANDHELDEN, and I don't collect boxes anyway . Happy bidding

Neil, Thanks. I am already watching it. I'm a bit concerned about the battery compartment. The seller says."There were some batteries inside and the acid had leaked out, but there is hardly any acid left. ", but my two requests for pictures of it have been ignored.

You could always try Rik's Coke method of cleaning the contacts (asuming there is enough contacts left to clean ) . If the contacts arn't to your liking then you could keep the box and instructions for when a nice unboxed one shows up, and re-sell the corroded game. I would be happy to bid on it in this state
Good luck if you decide to bid,
Neil. |

Heh, already watching it myself... Handhelden doesn't always bid high, depends on how badly he wants something... I'm desperately trying to complete my boxed Entex collection, and this is one of the few I still need (I think to complete it I need Black Knight, Blast It, Marvin and MAC...) |
