Advice on an old game needed

I was clearing out some old stuff from my closet and found a 1984 VTech Chess Master game I remember having from back then. I haven't used it in 20 years. It's all there, box (slightly battered), foam liner, instruction leaflet. I did remove the batteries from it back when, so I need to get some new ones and see if it still works. Assuming it does, how can I find out the value of this thing? I don't want it, but I don't want to give it away.

I searched the net and only found one for sale--$65 without box, etc.

I appreciate any guidance you all can give.
