Hi Linda,
That is a stunning collection How many years have you been collecting them? You must have worked very hard to find them all, and they are displayed very nicely

Your collection must be similar in size and quality to Rik's. Does anyone know who has the most complete definative collection of vintage electronic games? (LCD games excluded if you want as I don't collect them ) You must be in the top ten with all yours!!

Now, let's not get carried away... NO ONE BEATS ME!!! [Evil Laugh]AHH-HAHAHA![/Evil Laugh]
Okay, that's probably not true... That's definitely a great collection (and there are things there that I want badly!). I love the way it's displayed, I wish I had the space to setup all of my games... I haven't seen my complete collection in one room in years.
I think Taki (www.gameandweb.com) has a collection worth killing for. Over 1300 games (but he does collect all those LCD games, many of which I'm not really into myself). I have about 800 unique games, probably an additional 100 counting things like box and design variations on the same game and having a nice boxed one and a loose one to play with. I'm trying to get as many games sealed (or at least never played with) as possible. I was quite happy when I got a Coleco Pac-Man that is still sealed shut.
I'll post more pics of my collection from CGE 2005 soon... (That's the one time when I really get to display a large selection of my games.)

Hi all,
My first post here. Love that this site got a forum since I've been visiting the site frequently for the last three years or so. But more about that somewhere else...
Linda: Amazing collection! Really impressive!
When namedropping impressing collectors a couple of names come to my mind (except from Rik and Taki) and I felt I had to add them:
Cederic (aka todbrowning): http://www.handheldfree.com/
Pics from his collection can be found here: http://mpanayiotakis.proboards.....1121702588
Jaro: http://www.handhelden.com - The man behind the book Electronic Plastic
Tom: http://users.pandora.be/handheld-hustlers/handhelds_welcome.htm
The above collectors do have a lot of those LCD games you all seem to be quite indiffrent to, but since I love them (the games that is) I find the above sites and collectors extremly impressive.
My own collection is very modest and does consist of mostly LCD games, but perhaps a picture or two might still be interesting? |

Welcome Marcus,
Thanks for the links. I'll have a look at them later. I'd love to see some pics of your collection I have still the one LCD game (boxed) I had as a kid, but I might sell it sometime.

Eggie, yes they all work fine. Two are new in box with instructions and extra light bulb. One is mint in the box and two are loose.
I lucked out when I bought a game from a guy and then sent him my want list. He had about 9 games on it which he sold me including some of the Tiger Tabletops.
I would love to know who has the Tiger Star Castle and Sapce Invaders tabletops. If anyone has one of these please let me know. Even if they aren't for sale.

Hi Linda,
You are verry lucky!!! Especially that they work, old and even brand new games from Tiger (never played since the 80's) are often bad in LCD quality.
I know that Taki from www.gameandweb.com has 2 Tiger tabletops and the guy from www.miniarcade.com (but he sold teh games). They have/had no Star castle and no Space Invaders.
How do you know there is a space invaders tabletop??? I never saw a picture of it, or a, i blind??? Do you have a picture of it?
Regards.... |

Eggie, I don't have a picture of it, but I was told by another collector that he saw it. Maybe he had a friend who saw it... I forget. Anyway, I do know based on the Tiger Tabletops I have if you look at the model numbers there are two model numbers I'm missing. That's assuming they went in order and did not skip any numbers (similar to the handheld model numbers).

About spoken who's got the hugest collection of games....
I spoke a few months a girl at a retro game day, she's got her own museum where you can go and play a lot of games and consoles.
She told me that she's got between the 3000 and 4000 handheld games and table tops. I think she's got a lot the same but it's a lot.
