Do any of you like the g&w? I never see any of you mention them, only on very rare occations.
I just checked eBay, there are a lot less g&w for sale, only 47, when they were just 100+. Is there going to be a shortage? _________________ Emulators are for the non collectors |

I like some of them quite a lot. Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, and Donkey Kong 2 are fantastic. The problem is, these things are so ridiculously expensive, I don't collect them. I'll be happy when I get the three tabletops eventually, but other than that (unless the prices drop), I will not touch them. $300 for a little LCD game is a bit much. _________________ Playin' the world, one game at a time... |

I like them very well.
If you wait and search smart you can buy these games for low prices.
The regular ones of course, sometimes i had the luck to buy a rare one for a bargain. Most of the times i buy these games not on Ebay but in my own country. |

Where would you buy them other than eBay? _________________ Emulators are for the non collectors |

When you find games "in the wild" you can often get an even bigger bargain than some Buy It Nows on eBay! The sellers are usually clueless!
Garage sales, thrift stores, rummage sales, yard sales, flea markets, boot sales (UK)...
Not so much handhelds, but I have bought rare board games at live auctions worth $200+ for $5... (e.g. Dark Tower, to those interested) |

I just sold one of my original Dark Tower games that I had from my childhood. I had no idea that they went for that much cash on the secondary market. Kept my almost sealed one for myself. I have an older brother so we always got the same toys so that we wouldnt fight. |

I love them and have a bunch. All bought "in their time" when I was a kid in the 80's and would be lucky enough to travel to Japan with my family (I'm from Guam so Japan was only 3 hours away.. and a nice vacation/shopping spot).
That being said, I think the prices people want for these things is ridiculous. Probably since it's my belief that they are the most COMMON lcd games around. Every 2-bit electronic or clock store sold Game and Watches... AROUND THE WORLD! Australia, Europe, Asia.. heck, timbuktu. Everyone small time shop sold game and watches. That's why it's not hard to find them.. except for the 'rare' ones of course |
