Hi, I know that it's a rather uninteresting and secondary game, but this question has been puzzling me for some days.
I've received some time ago what seems,or seemed ,to be a NOS boxed game (you can find alot of them on eBay).
http://www.webalice.it/claudia.alessandro/castle_-_einstein.html
As you might have noticed it is without the 3 metal placs which bear the name and functions of the game.
My question is:
Is this some kind of version of the game, is it an error made by Castle Toys or a "modification" made by some previous owner?
Please note that there are no signs of any glue residue whatsoever in the 3 places where the metal placs should have been placed.
Thank you.

Well, I doubt the company got THAT cheap and opted to not use them...
My guess is it's either a factory mistake (is this the only one you've seen?) or the glue lost it's sticky-ness over the years and the labels came off and were lost. This usually leaves some evidence on the plastic, but I have seen these stickers come off very clean before...
Is there any evidence of scratches around the switches? If it was ever used much in this state, just moving the switches with your fingers would probably leave some proof behind...

Well actually no, I've never seen a game like that, and when I opened it ,everything was like .....no one ever removed it from the box or touched it ,no traces of any manipulation.Even the paper instructions along with the other stuff was kind of bound to the game, wrapped like a factory will do.
I don't know, but it may be my usual "luck" , and will have to go for an other one (or maybe only the metal placs).
Thank you anyway.

The mistery on this RARE and precious game, , has been solved :
The missing labels are plain stickers that for some reason or an other where not in this NOS game.Maybe a factory mistake or whatever.
Now I can sleep freely, without the bad dream of a castle toy game without a face hunting me down!
Got to buy an other one though.

Did they just come with one set of stickers? I bet they originally had a couple of different languages, and you could apply whichever one you could read... I've seen them do that before.
