Most VFD tabletops have a small toroid-like mini transformer.
Mine says
∆
TX-29
3 5
TDK
Does anybody know the pinout details and specs of these things?
And what is a K471 transistor?
I want to check of any of these is dead, and replace it with a compatible part. |

Let me know if you have any luck with that transformer! I've never really been able to find a reference for one... (Although I've never encountered a broken game that it was the cause for either, usually a dead game is a transistor or two... Although I'm still trying to solve one now...)
What game is this? Can you send a picture of the transistor? K471 sounds a little weird... Doesn't seem to cross-reference anywhere.

The game is Epoch Crazy Monster.
I don't think the transformer is broken, I just wanted to draw the schematic to get a little understanding of the circuitry of a VFD game.
I'll try to make a pic of the transistor. |
