Hi Folks,
Seems that i'm on a roll here...LOL!!!
A fellow member of this forum (StephenJ) contacted me by e-mail and asked me if i had the Coleco Pac-Man right sideart label scanned. I told him that he can get all the Coleco Pac-Man label scans (except for the control panel) on Rik's site. So that's what he did but i also told him that i would scan the control panel and give it to him in case he needs it.
Well, after that i decided to do all the missing scans from Rik's archives, here's a preview (sorry for the small pictures):
And here's the link to the RAR file for all theses scans: http://www.ccjvq.com/slydc/coleco-missing.rar
OK now, each scans are at 600 DPI and are in PNG format. Some are OK but others would need a touch-up (like the mspc-cpo and frog-cpo).
There is also x2 Galaxian control panel scan: The "gala-cpo.png is the original/untouched one and the GALAX-01.png is almost finished retouching.
I also included x2 Pac-Man control panel labels: one with the "black" Coleco logo and the other "white" Coleco logo and also i have included a bonus scan, the Bezel of Pac-Man (and completely retouched [vectorized at 16 colors]).
And last, Coleco Zaxxon control panel, the marquee, the bezel strip and even the top-joystick label (i know, the marquee and the bezel strip are in the archive but are not quite good, these are seperate and a bit much better).
If anybody wants to retouch any of the scans, be my guest!
Enjoy everyone!

Awesome, thanks...
I was in the process of re-touching the Zaxxon ones a couple of years ago when I had a hard drive crash and lost all the work (thought I lost all the original images, actually... I can't remember if I finally found them or if someone sent them back to me...) But I never tried to clean them up again...
Always wanted to learn how to convert them to vector-based images... How hard is that to do? |

Thanks for the tip blanka, never used Freehand.
@Rik: No problem, glad this can help you out as others as well. The scans
i make are not actually vector images but looks like them. What i do is i
take a picture (JPG, BMP, whatever..) and downgrade them to 16 colors
and after, retouch them which sometimes takes a few hours (especially
when you're retouching pixel by pixel.
For downgrading to 16 colors, i use GIMP and after the picture is in 16 colors,
i use Paint Shop Pro 3.1 (yup, an old version for Win 3.1) which i know like
the back of my hand and save ay picture to PNG, which in this format,
preserve way better than JPG.
