I have bought a Bandai Red Tectron that came without any instructions.
I tried getting the game working but I cant seem to get the game out of demo mode. Im not sure if the start/game buttons are not working or whether Im doing something wrong.

Does anyone have the instructions for this (english) or know what I should be doing to start the game.

Perhaps theirs a known issue that someone might know about?

Ive spend 30 minutes trying to get this thing going. Seller said it was 100% tested and working.

I don't have mine in front of me, but looking at the pictures you should press the 'Mode' button until a 3 lights up somewhere (Mode should cycle through 1-4 on the screen somewhere). When 3 is selected, pressing the start button should start the game...

I have instructions with mine, but they may be in Japanese only... If I can dig the game out of storage I'll check it out. Smile

Thanks Rik, I have managed to get the game going and I can get to the other modes, but I cant for the life of me work out this AM radio function. Not getting any sound from the earpiece when I tried that to.

Will keep playing with it, could be the AM radio is dead.

This is one of the strangest handheld games I have , seems they tried to merge a number of things you normally wouldn't associate together into one unit.

I also picked up a boxed Playtime Light Games unit, I haven't tried it out yet . Hopefully I don't have any issues with that.

Yeah, they are certainly weird... Did you get all the little parts with it? There's a 'kit mode' on them where can do something with a few small circuits that come with it... I think just a resistor and a transistor probably, I'll have to look and see what's included with it.
