Nintendo Game Boy Advance TARGET Stores L.E.

I figured that I might find some answers/information on a question I have about the TARGET Stores Limited Edition Game Boy Advance systems that the Target Stores sold back in 2002. The systems came in RED or PURPLE.

I have a few used systems of both colors in my collection that I bought off eBay over the years. I find it odd that I have never seen one of these Target Store systems new in it's original packaging. I can't find any pictures of a packaged/boxed system or information on what may of came with these systems when new. They were in stores in time for the 2002 CHRISTMAS holidaze.

MY Question:

I have not seen or found what type of packaging these Target Store systems came in, or what else may of been included with them when sold new. Anyone have any info on this?

I don't know for certain, but all the information I can find just indicates that they were 'Target branded'. So they likely came in a box with the same accessories that were included with the normal GBAs...

I'm suprised that I have never seen a picture of the packaging that these came in when new. Seems the people that bought them new didn't think the box/package was worth saving.

I'm wondering if the Target systems may of come in a plain box with a simple sticker on it.

I thank you for finding that picture of the original box that the red system came in. I would think the purple system had a simular box also.

It still is odd that most of the original boxes these 2 Target Store systems came in seem to of been tossed.

At least I know that I might find the boxed systems someday.
