Jeez, I _used_ to know how to do it on Yahoo Japan (I actually have an account there), but now that they've changed their format, I'll have to figure it all out again. I can't even find where it states if the seller will ship international or not (most don't though).
But, if you _really_ want something, and don't mind paying a little extra, check out these sites:
www.abidko.com
www.rinkya.com
For a fee, they will bid, purchase, receive and then forward to you anything on Yahoo Japan's auction site. There's other services (just Google search 'buying from yahoo japan auction' or something like that), so you might find better rates. But if it's something you have to have, that is an alternative...

Thanks , I checked them out and especially the first service seems practible.
But.....I've done better!!
I bought from Japan this Tomy 3D Sherman Attack :
http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAP.....amp;ih=009
After that as I've spotted on Yahoo Japan (along with a lot of other games ) this Tomy 3D Dog Fight :
http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k110040063
I asked the same japanese seller if he could bid on Yahoo JP for me and buy the game.He did it, and if everything will go well , I will have a COMPLETE BOXED TOMY 3D SERIES!!! 16+1 ( http://www.webalice.it/claudia.alessandro/tomy_.html )
I hope to post soon in the brag section the picture of the whole series togheter!
I'm going to use the same method again and try to reach those beautiful japanese games that you can find only over there! I have a list a mile long!!

Well Done on completing the set Alex! They look great . I've just got a Sherman Attack go. I'll have all the games then but not all the variations. I did once win a Sherman Attack very cheep but the seller never sent it
By the way, How do you make it 12+1 ? Shouldn't it be 10+1 or am I missing some?
Thanks,
Neil. |

Hi Neil,
well you touched a focal point that has been puzzling me for some time.We know that often behind a manufacturer there are a lot of different distributors ,many times one for each country in which the game was sold.
So the question is ....do I collect just the "original" game or I'll go after the different variations(incarnations) that the game has had?
Well, my answer has been at first to go just with one game that will rappresent them all (see for example the CGL games). Then as I've become more HARDCORE, I begin to buy all the different variations that I could find , see for example the Tsukuda games.
The COMPLETE Tomy 3D series. Why complete? Tomy released only seven different games :
1) Jungle Fighter
2) Planet Zeon
3) Shark Attack
4) Sky Attack
5) Skyfighters
6) Thundering Turbo
7) Sherman Attack
If you consider the DIFFERENT NAMES that the games took on different markets, there should be 16 games plus the Tandy licensed one:
Jungle Fighter
Planet Zeon > Space Laser War > Space Attack
Shark Attack > Jaws
Sky Attack > Tank Attack
Skyfighters > Dog Fight > Tandy Sky Duel
Thundering Turbo > Cosmo Les Mans > Turbo Racer > Thundering Turbos
Sherman Attack
If you really want to go for them all you have to add imho the japanese Sky Attack game that as far as I know it might not even translate to Sky Attack ,could be Super Mega Fantastic Sky Attack (it even has a bolt in the name)!
There are for Sky Attack, Thundering Turbo and Planet Zeon at least two different artworks for the boxes from Tomy and from its Australian distributor Futuretronics, one of which with a frontal opening flap.

That's an awfully small screen for a game that large!

Hey Alex-
Did you get that game?
I actually bought my first Japanese game recently (from a U.S. seller) only because I have not come across any new games in so long.
I guess I will not really go out of my way to get the Japanese versions but if they are being sold domestically, I may have a little more interest now.
