4 years, eh? No I don't feel so bad. But now I feel more obligated to update my site... Hehe...
I like the Rosy Space Venture! Where did you find boxed ones of that (and the other slot machine)?
Can you post a picture of the bag the coins come in? My Casino de Vegas came with a bag of coins, but the coins are real coins (like foreign nickels or something). The bag says 'Chamaco' on it. I assume it's not the original bag either, but I wanted to make sure...

Yeah, the Rosy coin op games are real highlights. Found them in Italy. Old store stock. Space Venture has the best sound effects!
Here's a close up of the original coins:

Hey Jaro, just poking through your new update, and noticed you listed Rosy Thriller House as the 'last of the 5 LCD games by Rosy)...
Don't forget about RC-2011: Messenger Monkey
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Rosy/MessengerMonkey.htm
Seems like there is 6 LCD, 4 VFD, 1 LED (Space Invader) and 2 (that we know of) that use light bulbs (the slot machines). I notice the two slots are #1003 and 1004... I wonder what 1001 and 1002 are?
BTW, do you mind if a borrow a few images of these for my website? (With links back to yours of course...)
Thanks, Rik |

Hello fellow collectors!
Guess what? 5 years after the last update, the Electronic Plastic website has been updated again!
More than 125 new games have been added to the collection. So that's 25 game per year. Some are real highlights.
More important is that all the date now are stored in a database, which makes browsing and searching much easier and exciting.
On this page you can use preset filters to show specific games only. For example you can display all red games with a single click. Or all extra large games, or all games with a joystick, or all 2-player games.
The search results can be filtered by display type, and you can browse the overview and game pages with the arrow keys on your keyboard too.
Enjoy and let me know if you like it!

Really nice job! I like the categories you made, the controller type and size especially. Nice design too, like a pro.
Just a few minor notes:
There are games which works with LR43 batteries (most v-tech game), these are thinner than LR44. Obviously, it is better not to distinguish these in the search/filter.
What is CBM? Is it the manufacturer of Q&Q games?
The description of CBM: Mr. Surfing says "holds 2 watch batteries", although the database shows only one. I believe, one is the correct. _________________ www.HandheldEmpire.com: open vintage hand-held game database and collectors' site. |

Hey kisember,
glad you like the update with all the new features.
LR43 games can be found here
list/?search=batteries:2_x_lr43 and list/?search=batteries:1_x_lr43
And yes CBM is for all the Q&Q games. I should change this, you're right.
I'm 90% sure that Mr Surfing has 2 batteries. I'll check on that.
If you find any other wrong infos or specs, there's a tiny contact form on each game page, in the bottom right.
It's an easy way to send notes or comments on specific games. I'll be updating these data on a regular basis.

Awesome! I had seen it half a year ago and was really wondering when it was to go live.
Some wrong entries:
invicta mastermind looks vfd.
bandai pro bowler is hybrid led/vfd
spica pac 3 is lcd
firefox f7 is vfd
brain baffler looks led
romtec cosmic invaders is led i guess
ms pac from 1983
coleco galaxian/pac from 1982. they say they are 81, i have yet to see a 81 model. |
