Actually, Microvision was made with battery terminals only on one side. It originally had them on both sides, but it was determined that the game could run on one battery, so the other side became 'spare battery storage' (there's usually a little card in the compartment indicating this).
If the screen looks black when the game is turn off, then the LCD is bad (very common problem with these, it should look a uniform gray/silver when off). I think if you put in a good battery and just hit GO a couple of times, and then press BOWL, it will probably make a sound (depending on how good your bowl was), that'll tell if you the rest of the game is working... |

Hey thanks. Thought that was a little weird with only one set of terminals, because it was marked + & - on the other side but with no terminals. I did what you said and it did make a buzzing sound after I fooled around with the buttons. Looks like the LCD screen is toast, any cheap way to fix it? |

Nope, unfortunately not... Replacing the LCD is the only way, so you'd have to find a Microvision with a good screen... And then you have a working Microvision already...
It looks nice though, so if someone wanted a nice case for theirs, it'd be worth going after. The gold chrome stuff wears off pretty easily. |
