Hi Guys
Purchased a boxed Entex Super Cobra recently – it was reasonable money which I thought was due to the flap having being cut off. It was clearly missing from the pictures. (The bit that hangs off the right hand side of the box that is often a bit battered).
Anyway – seems that this one never had the flap in the first place. There are no cuts and the writing on the back confirms everything has been ‘shrunk’ to fit.
I’ve never seen one like this before. Any thoughts? Is it a regional thing? i.e. did different country’s have different packaging?
Thanks

my box is a std box (like yours) but just doesnt have the flap. The writting and graphics on the back of the box have been shunk to fit.
Is it possible to upload pictures without using a web host? |

No, unfortunately this forum software doesn't have an upload function... You can send the picture directly to me if you want, and I can put them in a folder on the website's server and you can link them that way.
I'm really serious to see this, I don't think I've ever seen a non-flap version of the box before... (Or, if I had, I probably assumed it was just ripped off or something...) |

Hi Rik
I've never seen a non flap Entex before and bought on the basis it had been cut.
Send me (PM me?) your email or phone number and I'll send you some pickies....see what you think!?
Cheers

This is just a guess - but maybe a release for foreign markets? Take Bandai for example - they did release their games for the Japanese market without flaps, but sometimes with flaps for other countries (e.g. France "Gadget", "Penguin Land"). _________________ Regards,

Yes, that's exactly what it is... He sent me the pics (sorry, forgot to write back! ), I'll post them up here too. What he has is the Canadian version of the box, which apparently in some cases didn't have that extra box flap.
Here's an Entex Turtles game from Canada that's the same way:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/370646730038
Not the 'Electronic Game - Jeu Electronique' English/French writing on the box...
I have to admit, I wasn't aware about this variation even in Canada, guess I haven't seen too many Canadian Entex games... I see the Coleco ones all the time... |

Presumed it came from US but the Canada thing would make sense as there were also French instructions in the box.
Thanks guys |
