Just noticed that Gin Rummy/Blackjack and Poker are both listed as LED games, when technically they are VFD. Boring calculator-style blue VFDs, but VFDs nonetheless.
It's funny, the Poker manual does call it a "LED Digital Display" but the other one's manual refers to the display as both "LED's (lights)" and a "Fluorescent Card display."
Any such blue glowing display from that era is a VFD.
I also noticed that they are both licensed from Gakken, but they are absent from the Gakken page. Is that just because you are lacking pictures? |
