Donkey Kong Jr - Coleco Tabletop (orange) - MANUAL SIZE?

I have scans from the DK Jr Coleco Tabletop manual but...

what's the original paper size (best if in millimeters) ?

You can get that from the PDFs on my website, they are all made to the exact size of the original document I scanned.

DK Jr is 7 1/8 inches by 5 inches... Should be able to convert to mm from that (it was originally made to standard measurements...)

hi rik,
yes i know the pdf's are the same size as the paper manual.
but i can't get the information from the pdf itself. the images are all set to 72 dpi, even though the real dpi setting is different. i have no idea why.

No problem... Not sure why you are getting 72 dpi, they are all either 300 or 600 DPI depending on when I made them...

But you can open any PDF, and hit Ctrl-D (In Windows = Properties), and at the bottom it will say 'Page Size' and give the actual measurements of the page...

When I get the images included in the PDF via "CTRL+C" and paste them to Paint Shop Pro, the DPI setting is set to 72.

Anyway I have tried with CTRL+D from Adobe Acrobat and it works great! Thanks for the tip. Smile

FYI, the Coleco Dk Jr tabletop manual was scanned at 600 DPI.

And FYI, it's a different manual to the other one I got scans of. Yours is made of 10 pages, and the front and back have different copyright notices. The other one I got is made of 8 pages only.

Yeah, they change them over time (and possibly depending on the country released in if international). Sometimes there's even version letters next to the 'part number' for the manual itself. (Like my DK Jr is 'Guide No. 12230', the 8-page one might be 12230A if they updated the number...) (And now that I look at it, it appears that it's from the Canadian release of DK Jr. Yours might be the US, and possibly even a different 'Guide No.' Not sure if I have a US version of the game or not...)

They do sometimes change in size as well, but unless it's an obvious re-design, it's usually pretty close...

There's a fair amount of color on DK Jr, isn't there? I may need to rescan that one in color instead of black-and-white...

Ufortunately the version I have misses a piece of paper, where the code is printed.
I have "rebuilt" the missing part by using pieces from your manual, but this means that I have made a fake one. Anyway, it serves the purpose well.
Obviously, if I had your manual in colour, I would have used yours only. Smile
