TAITO CGL Space Invaders hand held game

Hi,
Im after some help, I have recently come across a boxed handheld game with instructions. I have searched numerous forums and websites but cannot find this item with the CGL branding. I can only find it with Tiger brand.

it is identical to the one in the link above but like I said, CGL rather than Tiger.

Could someone please help me as regards the rarity of this item?

Unfortunately, even though the display and sound seem to work, the game does not actually play as expected. There seems to be something wrong with the game mechanics themselves. I am by no means an expert and was also wondering is what could cause the fault.

Any help would be appreciated.
