|
|
Well, it seems a Tiger Space Invaders tabletop turned up in Ebay with a stupid $75 BIN... (Well, that would have been a great BIN if I got to it first... ). Here's the link:

Anyone know who that is?
Rik
EDIT- Wow, I just realized that auction ended in Feb.. Where were we? |

I don't know who he is, but it's the same person that bid on those Romtec's yesterday. He only seems to go for class games so watch out Rik and Linda

Great to see the Space Invaders game.
Unfortunately it seems it doesn't work.
So a working Space Invaders doesn't exist.
Nice Romtec games.

Very nice Romtecs indeed!
Unfortunately missing stickers on one game and a wrong box with another game...
But Italy is THE place to find such beauties.
"doogkcuf" should be Taki.
Happy holidays! |

I bet our resident electronics wizard - Rik, could have got it to work if he'd won it |

But being spelled backwards it must mean the opposite, right? |

That's what I mean...
All its/his bids are within 5 sec of auction end.
Only Taki or Akio (can) do this : )
But Taki wouldn't (know how to) use the word f**k I think... |

Actually, anyone can use a bidding tool and bid in the last 5 seconds... Mine bids in the last 7, but I think I can set it to 3 if I wanted to...
Somehow I don't see Taki using an ID like that... but I could be wrong. He also already has a nicer Home Sweet Home...
I wrote to him once, but he never wrote back...
If it's Taki, he'll put the Space Invaders on his home page for sure.

Taki said to me that he already had the Space Invaders and that he get a lot of games in private deals. I asked him if he is the winner of this auction but he diidn't answered this question yet. Maby later....
We just know that this person wants the hly grale of handheld games. |

I see "doogkcuf" has been NARUed... And he was registered in Singapore, with the enforced morality there I wonder if he got caned for having such a username!
I actually had a zero-second snipe once, entered manually. Apparently if you bid in the last 1/2 second the page that displays the bid time rounds it off to the same time as the auction end! |

I remember being confident on winning a game after refreshed the page and I was winning with 1 second to go, only to be outbid....very irritating.
Are these Autosnipers trustworthy? I have been tempted to sign up with one before for items that finish in the middle of the night, but I was wary of telling them my Ebay password.
The only feedback 'Doogkcuf' ever left was for the Tiger game. He used good English. |

I have been using eSnipe for years, so long that I was grandfathered in for free snipes under $25 when they started charging for them ... Anyway, no problems have occured from giving them my ebay password, knock on silicon...
There are other sniping alternatives that run on your own computer (thus you aren't giving someone else your password, ostensibly) but of course you'd have to make sure your computer was running and the software was running and your system clock was accurate when the auction end time rolls around. |

I've never had a problem with mine (auctionstealer.com), and you can sign up with them for free (but you can only place 3 bids a week or something like that). If you pay their monthly fee you get unlimited... (and it's not too expensive, I think I pay $30 for 6 months or something. I use it enough that it's worth it...)
It's cool becuase you can list all your auctions on their site with your max bids, and if you decide later you don't want the item, you just cancel the snipe (no hassle of retracting a bid on Ebay if you really need to back out of it). |
